Self Hypnosis Tips
62Self Hypnosis
Hypnosis is one of the ancient techniques to lure one into a specific state of mind to get certain actions performed or to attain a desired state of mind. When nothing else works many people do want to try hypnosis to get rid of their troubles but at the same time they have many fears of the unknown. Many people think it is very difficult or one might not come back from the hypnosis state once got into it.
Actually self hypnosis is a fairly simple and straightforward process. One can use it to bring about certain changes in the personality or to get rid of certain problems.
If you want to do the self hypnosis, you need a quiet and secluded place where no one would be able to disturb you for at least an hour. Sit in a comfortable posture. Close your eyes and start exploring your mind. There might be many problems that would be bothering you. Choose the three main problems (for example low self esteem, lower confidence level and back pain etc.). Get your mind rid of all the thoughts by breathing deeply and imagine that all troubles are out of your body in the form of a dark cloud. Then, imagine that you are standing the highest point of a flight of 10 stairs. 5 of the lower stairs are submerged in water. Start descending the stairs and imagine that you are going to sink in an ocean of cleanliness and purity. Once you get into the ocean swim there and tell yourself that you have found the solution of your problems there. For example say to yourself, “I am an important person” or “my confidence levels have increased” etc. spend as much time as you wan tin the ocean and when you feel better enough, then swim back towards the stairs. Ascend the stair case and come out of the hypnotic mental state.
Practice this technique until you master it. Once you know how to do it, you can feel wonderful at any time you want.
Organize your Mind through Self Hypnosis
When it comes to cleaning and organizing things, I am “Monica Geller” of the famous sitcom of 90s called “F.R.I.E.N.D.S.”. My family and friends call me a “cleanliness freak” but when it comes to organizing a closet, room, process or an event, they come to me.
I had never tried any form of hypnosis; rather I was very much afraid of it. Using CDs or tapes was little bit okay but when it came to self hypnosis I had always feared that what if I might not be able to come back. It was all until I came across this idea of “mind organization”.
Just follow these simple steps to make your way to an organized mind.
· Find a quiet place and relax
The first thing to do is to find a quiet place where no one would be able to disturb you for at least an hour. Sit in a comfortable posture and close your eyes. Tell yourself to relax.
· Ease your muscles and nerves
Make sure no part, muscle or nerve of your body is tensed. Try to ease your body. An easy way to do it is to tense your whole body. Keep it as it is for 10 seconds and then release your tensions.
· Step into your mind
Now that you are totally relaxed this is the right time to delve into your mind. Imagine of it as a gigantic and beautiful library. You may form different sections for different subjects.
· Arrange it
Take the books on similar topic and put them in one section. For example take the books called, “Kinder Garden, Grade 1, and Grade 2…” etc and put them in the school section. If some books seem boring, you can put them in the “boring” section. Remember you do not have to arrange the whole library in a single go. Just take on section or sub-section for one sitting.
· Step out
Do it gradually anytime you want. First stop working in the library. Just sit and relax. Then step up and slowly leave the library. Open your eyes.
I tried it because it was very simple and no risks were involved. And it has worked wonders for me. I have started performing better at work and at home. Try it and use it for your benefit.
