Sell Books Online
56Avoiding Blog Burnout
Do you want to sell books online, my fellow authors? Then you need to learn how to avoid blogger burnout.
First, I am an absolute NUT when it comes to encouraging authors to blog about their books. Blogs are interactive and give authors an easy way to connect with their reading public. Don't have a reading public? Don't worry because as you consistently blog you WILL begin to gather readers.
First, EVERYONE gets tired of blogging. I don't know a single person who hasn't had a day when they simply hit the wall. That's okay, as long as it's not every day!
3 Simple Steps to Keep the Passion in Your Blogging
1. Vary your blogging routine. If you get in the habit of only blogging every morning at 7 am, mix it up. What happens if you have a brilliant thought at 2 am? Does that mean you shouldn't blog til 7? Of course not!
2. Keep Your Priorities Straight. If blogging is a priority (and it should be if you want to sell books online) then don't give up your blogging time just because someone else wants to keep you on the phone for two hours gabbing. Authors who are serious about book sales keep book promotion as a high priority.
3. Just say NO! If you're like me, you need 72 hours in a single day to keep up with all of your commitments. At times, that means simply saying "no" to what other people want. And some days that's really hard, and some days I don't always stick to it. But if I'm so tired I can barely walk, because of other commitements, trust me - I'm really too tired to sit down at the computer and blog.
Hope these tips help you as you move forward into promoting your blog online and of course, I hope it helps you to sell books online!

Great advice. Many new authors start a blog and do not post regularly. You should try and post at least twice a week. If you run out of ideas to write about, search google news and write a post about a newsworthy article in your niche.
