Basically, it's a call to join Twitter

Some phone providers let you send text messages straight to the web, such as in emails. Email form isn't immediately useful if you want your text message published to the web, though.

If you want your messages to show up on a website, the best way to go is to use a service like Twitter.

If you have a Twitter account, you can update your account by sending messages from your phone. From your account, you can have your updates published to websites, or just let your friends follow what you're up to.

Numberous web services also offer their own forms of mobile content. Many of these will let you commmunicate via text message, but at the moment Twitter is one of the most popular ones. There are also sites like Bloove that let you manage your phone contacts and messages from the web instead of your phone. If your needs are more specific than that, odds are a quick Google or Yahoo search will turn up a website that can suit your needs.
