This hub article is a narration of a pre-9/11/2001 (9/11) private prophecy with visions concerning the Twin Towers.

The private prophecy was told by the author to friends, family members and business associates at the time the private prophecy occurred or at various times before September 11, 2001.

In mid-February 1993, I dreamt I was on the upper deck of a small cruise ship on the Hudson River. The scene presented to me was obscure and there was a strange glow in the sky; but what I was seeing was, unmistakably, the New York City Skyline at Midtown Manhattan.

As the ship sailed towards lower Manhattan, I looked south expecting to see the Twin Towers but, they weren't there. The second my mind questioned their absence, the vision ended with a snap!

That dream was the first of three identical, consecutive dreams, and questioning the absence of the Twin Towers caused the vision to end with a snap each time.

After the second identical dream, the floor below the Marriot Hotel WTC ballroom and parts of the North Tower garage were bombed on February 26, 1993. Even though the Towers remained standing, I thought the sub-floor bombing was the reason for the two identical dreams, so I dismissed the experience.

But, then I had the third identical dream several days after the sub-floor bombing and I knew the dream visions had nothing to do with that incident.

The dream visions perplexed me to no end because I felt, in my human mind, that I didn’t receive enough information. I didn’t receive a date or even a time of day (or of night) by location of the sun in the sky or absence of it as had been the case in other such experiences.

Nor did the visions reveal a season of the year by external temperatures, or by snow, or by tree foliage or by lack of tree foliage. As stated, the visions were on the obscure side and therefore, I did not receive these types of details. As a result, there was no way of knowing when--if ever--the Twin Towers would not be in the New York Skyline; and frankly, I hoped and prayed the visions had merely been three identical, consecutive dreams, however unlikely that is.

Nonetheless, whenever I went with friends, family members and business associates into the City, I told them I would not venture into lower Manhattan because of the visions and, knowing me, they respected that.

As we know all too well, the events on September 11, 2001 happened; therefore, the visions had not been mere dreams. They were spontaneous and they contained new information, however inadequate the human mind may think the information was. The experience is what a private prophecy, or a private revelation, with or without visions, consists of. Because the Towers disappeared from the skyline, the visions were Supernatural in origin.

The visions are considered to be a “private prophecy”, by definition. This means they were meant to personally warn me to stay away from the Twin Towers, even though prior to September 11, 2001 there was no way I could have fathomed how the Twin Towers could disappear.

The Roman Catholic Church, or the RCC (of which I am a member) recognizes that private prophecy and private revelations can happen.

There are reams of written accounts of private prophecies and private revelations by particular members of the RCC such as St. Malachy (1094-1148). Such experiences have been given to other famous Catholics such as the Catholic Mystics St. Teresa of Avila (1515-82) St. John of the Cross (1542-91), and St. Padre Pio (1887-1968).

Private prophecies, et cetera, are treated within the branch of Catholic Theology known as Mystical Theology.

Non-Catholic Christians also receive private prophecy and private revelation and there have been and are non-Catholic Christian Mystics.

However, within the RCC, these experiences do not and cannot become part of the RCC’s Dogma and Doctrines and, if they go against Holy Scripture they are considered as "not from the Holy Spirit", or not personal revelations of the Holy Spirit.

This particular experience did not touch on matters of Holy Scripture and therefore, questions with regard to Holy Scripture do not come into play regarding this particular experience.

In addition, this experience was not the first time I received personal prophecy or personal revelation with visions but it was the only time I didn't receive what I considered to be “enough information”.

When the events on 9/11/2001 occurred, I was wounded to the soul because one of my best friends lost a cousin in the Towers.

I met my friend’s cousin several days before 9/11/2001. At that time, I learned that my friend’s cousin worked in one of the Towers and not having “enough information” made me wonder to myself what was the point of having the visions.

Unlike my friend, his cousin wasn't told about the private prophecy since there was no point in doing so without a date and, after I learned he worked in the World Trade Center, I really hoped and prayed the visions were not so.

Of course, if I had been given the date, I would have taken my friend and his cousin out to breakfast the morning of 9/11/2001 and thus, my friend’s cousin would not have perished that day.

However and at the same time, not having the date saved me from opening my mouth and either being considered “a nut” or being incarcerated by the US Government. And believe me, I would have opened my mouth. Nonetheless, when both Towers collapsed and thus, disappeared from the skyline, those whom I had told about the visions and I, myself, were devastatingly stunned at the fulfillment of the visions.

Although private prophecy or private revelation can contain what we humans would consider to be “sufficient new information”, not every one of them necessary contains every detail. This is because they come from God in the Person of the Holy Spirit, and God decides how much “sufficient” new information to impart or to bestow or to reveal.

Therefore, certain private prophecies and private revelations can be frustrating, as this particular one had been for me.

On the other hand, before this experience I had many such experiences with loads of details and in particular, I received a private revelation with a vision of one of my children 27 months before that child’s birth.

The details in that vision, which I told to family members at the time I had that vision, included the color of the child’s hair and eyes and the child's gender (this was just before technology could detect gender).

I also described to a T what was to become that child’s usual "intense look” across the eyes. But, maybe that experience will be written in another hub article on the subject of "life before life".

PS: On the Fifth Anniversary of 9/11, I went with my friend and his family into the City and to Ground Zero. At the footprint of each Tower I said prayers for all who had perished on 9/11/2001. I was very concerned in particular for the soul of my friend’s cousin. A few days later, in a vision I received new information that my friend's cousin is "OK" and in fact, he was smiling because he's in Heaven, which is sufficient new information as far as I’m concerned.
