Seth Mcfarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy Review

If your a fan of Family Guy (you are if you have family guy ringtones on your cellphone), then no doubt you have seen the promotions of Seth Mcfarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy. This is a DVD where Mcfarlane pulls no punches. There are 50 shorts in less than an hour. A few are hilarious, most are funny, and some will leave you scratching your head( I'm guessing the writers ran out of ideas and needed filler).

The shorts transition quite randomly and the familiar characters of the Family Guy show are not to be seen. The shorts last anywhere from ten seconds to a minute. There is plenty of raunchy material so parents be forewarned. The video quality is average and the audio is excellent( although most of it is dialog).

Some of the better sketches are the frog prince Mcfarlane style, Roadrunner finally gets caught, and a sheep getting sexually charged in a shearing session. There is also a bonus section of the DVD which has interviews with minor celebrities, voice actors and writers. Nothing profound there, however. The viewing format is wide screen and subtitles can be in English, Spanish, and French. The audio is only in English.

It's worth seeing if you are fan of The Family Guy but not worth purchasing for repeated viewings. I would definitely recommend renting it however. Quite a few of the censored version of the shorts are already on YouTube under the SethComedy channel. So go on over to YouTube and see if you like what your seeing if you decide to purchase. Keep in mind only the best shorts are there with all rated with at least four stars.

Here is a title list of what to expect. The title of many of the shorts will give you good visual.
