Seven Habits of Highly Effective Hubbers
627 Hub Tips from a Wannabe Master Hubber
While this would be better answered by real Master Hubbers I got in early. Heh.
So my Master Plan if I want to become a Highly effective Hubber:
- Participate in the community - Every post you make provides a link back to your set of hubs. If you actually make good comments you might get people clicking those links to see what other clever things you might have to say. Who knows? You might even generate a good discussion.
- Get Links - As you more links to your hub(s) from other sources you will get more traffic from the various search engines, such as Google and Yahoo. The text in the links should have something to do with the topic of your hub, as supposed to something like, "click here." For example: if you're writing a hub on Styling Tips With Hair Gel your links into your hub should all read Styling Tips With Hair Gel or variations on that theme. Getting links in doesn't have to be hard. Go here for the ultimate in linking help.
- Write hubs on a number of subjects, it increases your visibility and makes it eassier to write lots of Hubs.
- Answer requests, it gives you an excuse to write something, maybe to rant a bit, and increases your visibility.
- Bookmark your hub on sites like del.icio.us and related sites. Check out OnlyWire.com while you're at it.
- Install the StumbleUpon.com toolbar and submit your hub (and other good ones.)
- Promote any hubs or sites that link to your hub/site. The more traffic they get the more traffic you will get.
Well, that should keep you busy. :)
PS: Keep in mind that if you just put up a Hub and you don't tell anyone then no one will see it. Follow the above tips and lots of people will see it.
Social Power Linking - Web 2.0 Marketing And Strategies - Want more traffic to your hubs? Then check this site out now. edit: this link went to the wrong site before, it's fixed now. Sheesh. :)
The Authority Black Book - Want your site to be the authority site on your chosen topic? Get this book. It's yours, free.

I'd say create at least 3 hubs a week; and make sure that each hub is unique with pictures, videos, and non-copied text.
Thanks for your tips, I am a new hubber and just learn about doing it.
I have to agree with Whitney (although I haven't kept up lately); consistently publish hubs, with visual interest and quality content. Play by the rules too - read everything out there (for free) to learn the ropes.
Thanks for the same way what I am doing you have mentioned.. I hope that you have written my thoughts.. LOL... Nice post.. Keep going..
Great hub, Thumba up for this one.
Excellent tips. I've already bookmarked the links and will be checking them out. When I first joined HP I had a few ideas on what I could write about. If time would allow, and pay the bills, I'd write all the time. The more you write the more ideas you'll have. I'm trying to be real to myself and write things I would read. Maybe I'll move along some day. But for now, just write about what you know and do it well. I't's been a looooonnng time since I've done any writing and the rust is still coming off. I've got a ways to go. This is a great hub full of resources.
Wow. Thanks Rob. :)
And thanks to the rest of you!
Greg
