There Will Be Sex

I am a firm believer of legalizing prostitution. Besides the fact that it’s the oldest profession in the world, there is nothing wrong with women making a living for themselves. Especially, if their only functioning resource is to provide a sexual service of some sort or another. Moreover, are we that insecure in ourselves that we would rather condemn people to a life of misery, rather than allowing them to perform a necessary duty? How is it that our maternal ancestors embraced sex, and sexual prostitution more than we do today? Ever since the when the Prudes were put in power, women seem to have become weaker, insecure, powerless, and definitely needier than ever before. Would you agree?
One of my favorite websites to visit is The Sex eZine. It is an action packed, hip and happening website when it comes to sex. Many of the photographs I use come off that website, and many of my titles/ideas come from an idea, article or paraphrase found on in one of it’s many, many articles. Well sometime ago I read an article named, “The Role of Love and Sex in a Healthy Relationship” By Monique Bellamont- printed August 2009. In Ms. Bellamont’s article, the picture I selected for my article was the photograph she had pictured for her article. Now without reading the article, what point do you think she was trying to make by choosing her title, and this photograph? The role of “love” and “sex” & “HEALTH” is somehow connected to words like; money + sex = slavery; “What Ms. Bellamont are you trying to say to us?” Well, I for one thought it was an oddity, so you might read the article for yourself and find out. Nevertheless, once you sit down and start thinking about it- there is an intimate connection between love, sex, health via healthy relationships, and prostitution. Prudes may not like to admit it, but confident women know what I’m suggesting.
It is a known fact that men constantly feel the need to “breed.” If you want we can actually say, “That’s the way God made them!” Men use sex as a crutch, as a power tool, as a make-up tool, and countless other ways that everyday society seems to have no problem with. However, when it comes to men and their basic, instinctive needs- society tells them to suppress it. Come on, is that fair? Haven’t you ever been so horny ladies, that you felt the need to pleasure yourself, or grind on something? I don’t expect anyone to admit it; but, we all know that sometime in their life there has been some sort sensation that made them succumb to the sexual desire plaguing them at that moment. So, how is it now that the prudes get to dictate passion and will? Seriously, I’m very curious and want to know.
$$$ + Sex = Slavery
This might be very naïve of me to say, but I do think that if ALL societies legalized prostitution, not only would “cheating” be non-existent, but so too would stealing women off the streets, and trading them on the black-market to meet the demands, and needs of men. The sex-slavery trade market would become almost non-existent. This type of illegal activity is more detrimental to the human race, than prostitution will ever be. Think about it, take the "black" out of market, and waa la! All that is left is a solid, valuable, taxable commodity. The fact that there are illegal businesses out there, paying thousands of dollars to buy somebody's stolen child, and making thousands of dollars off the trade is sickening. So, I say it is time for the rules of the prudes to be reviewed, take the ill out of illegal and make this a better society for everyone! Not only will we be saving marriages, providing jobs, and eliminating the need to excessively spend previous tax dollars on convictions; we could actually provide better health care services for the women. Hell, America could probably pay for everyone’s health care three times over, through the extra tax dollars call girls would be forced to pay into the income tax system. Legalizing prostitution would also help married men to remain loving husbands, and possibly be even more dedicated to family values, and family events than they have ever been before. Women are always bitching about their “right” to happiness; so why is it now that we freely deny our husband’s right to theirs? Isn’t having a loving husband, and father to your children- what married women want most from their husbands? Think about it…….

Slavery sex is true when the girl is a minor, but if she is an adult and accepting that for money, there's no slavery in this case since she knows what she's doing. Informative hub IE.
A good subject. Whether women like it or not men do need the release than comes from sex alot more often than women. It is also one of the best ways of releiving stress.Enlightened religions are aware of this need in men which is why the catholic religion has always turned a blind eye to red light houses. During my time in the navy I visited many houses, if you want to know why it is because being at sea is one of the most stressful evironments anywhere, which is why the best whorehouses are in the biggest ports. does it help your marriage?? Maybe it does when you consider that it is not normal for a man and woman to spend years together without straying. It was originally the missionaries that decided and persuaded people that it was not normal to stray. Read the history of the polynesians, they never had a problem until the missionaries came. I also know 2 guys that married girls they met in the red light house. Last time I checked they had both been happily married for over 20 years.
Thanks guys for commenting! I couldn't agree with you more. It is time to change the tide. Great comments thanks for the support.
I also totally agree with legalising prostitution. As you correctly say, it is the oldest proffession in the world. Why not make it legal and in one fell swoop the various governments around the world would benifit from the tax dollars, a lot less people caught up in the leagal & court systems, not to mention the prisons. Hevan only knows how meny rape cases would not have happened if it were legal & accessable.
Although prostitution have been the oldest profession in the world we have to keep in mind that vices and sex with money will bring the worst in human beings. That said sex should be a holistic, spiritual, life shattering experience a gift giving not only for our bodies but for our minds and our soul. Given what we know today about unsafe sex and HIV AIDS, prostitution is dangerous for women and men and a poison for our youth!
Penina, if it happens anyway, woulnt it be better if it was regulated? making sex a taboo just drives it underground, as nice as your ideal to the beauty of sex is, the reality looks quite different, lack of information and regukation leads to spreading of disease.
no no no. The black market on sexual slavery would only increase!!! Have we forgotten the most basic economic rule?? "supply and demand". IF prostitution was legalized it would be more sought and then girls would really be in high demand. Even those that dont want to be! As far as cheating, a cheating man will cheat regardless. Why facilitate the situation. Whether a woman is secure or not.. I think our main concern is our morals and personal health. you may say they "wrap up" but even those fail. I do have to admit though, I have thought "if girls are sleeping around so much, they might as well be getting paid". Our urge for sex although normal can be controlled. I think monogomy is the best way. Since when is it okay to have a family at home and go screw another girl because she was too dumb to make something of herself? There are plenty ways to succeed even if you are the most poor person or grew up abused. Excellent job on this hub though. Very provoking in the sense of being controversial. Mayrapink .
Supply and demand is exactly the problem. Take the Netherlands as an example, both prostitution and cannabis are legal, and somehow they have far less trouble with drug addicts and prostitution related crimes than the rest of Europe. It would be so nice if sex could be the wonderful thing that its supposed to be, but there is no way you can stop people from going into that profession if they want.
Outlawing prostitution does not seem to work, so you suggest we gather up all the prostitutes and ask them nicely to stop their wicked ways? You don't think its a woman's own choice what and who she does with her own body? Why make them into criminals for "facilitating" something that is going to happen anyway?
Its about as sensible as telling teenagers to abstain in stead of telling them how to protect themselves. Monogomy is the best way, but a fairly blue eyed view of the real world.
this is one of the things that intrigues me about Amsterdam. Street lined brothels.Sex is an art form as well. And I think if young men/sugar daddies had a healthy outlet at a brothel, it would reduce teen pregnancy, sexual abductions, molestations.Hookers can form unions to help others out the illegal sex trade and a foundation to help girls at risk. They would be excellent crisis intervention consultants. I could then truly expand my work portfollo-LOL!
Mayrapink- I completely disagree with on the whole supply and demand theory. It would clearly be the opposite of the way you are thinking. But great comment!
Thanks everyone for all the comments. Really great subject matter coming from all of you. Fabulous!!

Prohibition dosen't work. We Americans learned that the hard way. We outlawed Hooch and what happened? It lead to in-roads for the Italian Mob to move in and bring in an era of organized crime and corruption that surrvives to this day. Now we face the same problems with drugs. Legalazation and regulation works. With regulation of the sex industry we would see a decrease in std's and violent sex crimes.
As far as cheating goes, he might sleep with other women, but at the end of the day your the one he comes home to and shares his secrets and life with. Stop complaining. It's only sex.
By the way... Sania, Bad taste sweetheart...
P.S.
HI LEE!!! :)
I live with prostitutes. They are amongst my closest friends and I have written about this in various hubs. I do make a distinction between prostitution and slavery though. The two are really not the same.
I absolutely agree. Thank you for reading my hub.

Well written hub IE, I could not agree more. Its going to happen whether its legal or not, it always has. The problems posed by keeping it illegal are many, not the least of which forcing people who would otherwise be tax paying law abiding citizens into uncontrollable crime rings. These women (and men) are not able to report violence they encounter in their line of work to the authorities and are therefore not protected against bad apples. I don't even want to know how much rape there would be if this "release" was not available to men.
Take care,
L
