Before I continue with the sexy older women series, let me just say that there is also a sexy older men series. Let me also say that these are not the only sexy women over 60; they're simply 5 women I happen to have selected. Certainly, there are others -- but I've tried to find those who've not botoxed themselves ugly, or had so much plastic done that they now look like a foreign being.
Candice Bergen
If you're a Boston Legal fan, you'll recognize her as Shirley Schmidt. If you're my age, you may recognize her as Murphy Brown. If you're older than me, you'll remember her for the absolute stunner she was -- see the photo below for details. She's really a fantastic actress, and she's aged so gracefully, it's amazing. It isn't hard to understand why Alan Shore (James Spader) is always fantasizing about her.
Tina Turner
Have there ever been a better pair of female legs? I doubt it. Tina Turner is almost 70 years old, and her body rivalled that of Beyonce during the Grammy performance.
Seriously, google some of those pics and you'll see what I mean -- they were almost exactly the same size.
Miss Tina has still got it going on, and she's taking it on tour. You know she's going to be wearing short skirts, high heels and giving her backup dancers a run for their money. If you've never seen her perform, get your tickets now!
Susan Sarandon
I have never been a huge Susan Sarandon fan (I'm sure it has something to do with the Rocky Horror Picture Show thing) but there's no denying her timeless sex appeal. She's always been extremely comfortable with her body (only porn stars have shown their bits onscreen more frequently) and she exudes this inexplicably attractive quality. I think it's in the eyes, but I'm not sure; she always seems to have that come-hither look. Take a look at Bull Durham; you'll understand what I'm talking about; she was just as sexy as Kevin Costner.
Lauren Hutton
Lauren Hutton had a very successful modelling career, and she's had a few choice movie roles, as well. American Gigolo, anyone? Hello? Richard Gere?
Yes, Miss Hutton lived the life one would expect a gorgeous woman to live. What's fascinating, is that she's still gorgeous, and still living that life. She still goes on safari, for God's sake. Hell, I could barely handle Texas in my 20s.
I don't know if her looks are owed to her cosmetic line or not, but the woman looks fab, and she's definitely still sexy at 60.
Helen Mirren
Anyone not know the very British Helen Mirren? Think she's just a sweet old lady who won an Oscar for portraying the Queen? Think again! A quick google will show you that she has a thing or two in common with Miss Sarandon.
This woman has done a number of sexy scenes, including one with (much younger) Eric Stolz. I am so jealous!! Helen Mirren's always been sexy, and men still appear to be quite taken with her.

And yeah, she did not look so good in the Sex and the City movie. I don't know if they did that on purpose or if age is finally catching up. It was kind of sad.

If I had to choose the sexiest 60 year old woman, I'd say Susan Sarandon. She's also the type that looks even better with age. Helen Mirren is charming, but I had no idea that she was a goddess of beauty.
Notice that older very attractive women preserved their childlike appearance as the case of Susan Sarandon. Her face is also beautiful according to what expert say is standard for women: big distant eyes, high cheekbones, fuller lips, smaller nose, and delicate thin jaw. Good hair and skin count, but they are not enough without the facial features that are hereditary.
This is a great list. But there are so many! Aren't we lucky that we're living in a time that we continue to get better and better. (Helen Mirren is my favorite. Wait, maybe Susan Sarandon...) It's all about the attitude.
I love Candice Bergen and Tina Turner. Well done!

I agree with Stacey and Sixtyorso...and am happy that you're showing "young 'uns" what these gorgeous women were like 'in their salad days' to paraphrase Shakespeare. To Shayze, go watch "Carnal Knowledge" if you want to see how good Bergen was in a drama and want to see how good Bergen was as a 'younger woman.' Or 'Starting Over' if you want to see how good and how beautiful she was in a drama-comedy. I do agree, she looked not-so-good in "Sex And The City,"and she's scheduled to play a 'mom' early this fall in "The Women." But, heh, she's happily married after a sudden and unexpected widow-hood, she's raised a lovely daughter, she's been working since she was a teenager, let's give the woman a break...how many great looking 20-somethings want their looks, their girths, their everythings! spread across the big screen??!! Our families love and forgive, um,,,,strangers...not so much! We're so cruel as a society.
I.S. I enjoy these age hubs that you publish. I would definitely add Donna Mills, Olivia Newton John and Sally Field to this list. Even though these women are a decade or so older than me, I had a crush on each of them when I was a kid.

Great hub....my wife and I are both past 55 and she still has men under 40 hitting on her which makes me proud to have her on my arm. As a musician I truely enjoyed "Blues is a Woman"....Tight ..Very tight band. I'll be watching and reading and perhaps ask a little advice.

It's really amazing how beautiful they still are: I am past 60 myself. I feel the secret is try to live a stress free life all you can.
Most of these women have had face lifts. Helen Mirren and Candace Bergen for sure. Very disheartening for a 59 year old woman (me) to realize. (And I am pretty sure that I am older than Susan Sarandon...)

I like Helen Mirren now than her younger days. She got sex appeal every man's dream.
Mature women have always been more appealing to me than the young 20 something year olds. Helen Mirren is superb, she has matured like fine wine. Tina Turner is just amazing. She has the looks, and the body that women years younger would love to have. As for her performances, they are simply the best.
Charlie Rose said to Helen Mirren that he 'adored' her. I would add, that he isn't alone in his adoration. Ms. Mirren is totally captivating with her intelligent portrayal of characters...iconic in her beauty and sexy as hell!
makes me feel not so bad about aging, I am 51 and still have men 35-40 hitting on me, one time a 25 year old winked at me on the street, I had to laugh....I still maintain my long hair undyed, there is a few silver hairs in it and it is natural medium brown with red highlights in spite of the fact that culture says I should have cut my hair off ten years ago.. I was considered the best dressed woman at a large formal event and was considered the "hottest" woman there in spite of the fact that there were pretty young 20 somethings dress in mini skirts so short you could count their pubic hair.
No doubt mature women are very wise&quite often misunderstood.
