Hot Daniela Hantuchova
66This girl is the most charming and very athletic in the sports of Tennis. This article comes from different sites, and the reason that I made a topic is because of the admiration of her.
Daniela Hantuchova is the most naturally gifted and flair talented players in the game. She is one of the most nicest and most attractive girls on WTA Tour, and there's an undefinable something about her that makes her stand out from the other players like an angel sent from Heaven. Wars have been fought, empires and entire civilizations have been won and lost, over girls not even close to being as beautiful, talented and intelligent as Daniela Hantuchova. Daniela is a tall, powerful girl - without being in any way ungainly or muscular. She has an all-court style of play - predominantly from the baseline, but quite often finishing off points at the net. She has a fantastic spreading baseline game, although strangely she used to list her style of play as serve-and-volley! Although my type of player is the brilliant base liner, a good net-game is certainly a nice bonus! However, Daniela's volleys can let her down when she lacks commitment and doesn't doesn't get to the net quickly enough to make them easy. Because her long limbs give her excellent reach, Daniela is very difficult to pass at the net, and very effective when driven wide. She is very competent on all surfaces, although her game is most effective on fast surfaces such as grass, and least effective on clay.
Biography of Daniela Hantochuva
She was born in Poprad, Slovakia on 23rd April 1983 - eleven days after Jelena Dokic, and exactly six years before Nicole Vaidisova! Daniela had to make a choice between tennis and skiing, but tennis was always the natural choice for her because her paternal grandmother, Helena Hantuchova, had been the best player in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s - it was she who introduced Daniela to the game at the age of six, and taught her the fundamentals. The earliest Daniela-result I've been able to get hold of is when Slovakia was runner-up to Belgium in the 1996 Europa Cup: an international team-championship for girls aged 14 and under. She turned professional in 1999 and had her breakthrough year in 2002, when she won her first Tier I tournament and ended the year in the top ten. Daniela beat Elke Clijsters. Daniela had the honor of sealing the tie with a 6-3 6-1 victory over Lina Krasnoroutskaya to give Slovakia an unassailable 3:0 lead; she and Martina Babakova beat Elena Bovina and Krasnoroutskaya 7-6 6-4 in the dead 5th rubber. Fourteen-year-old Daniela won a junior-tournament in Domzale, Slovenia on 10th August 1997, beating her compatriot Katarína Basternakova 6-3 6-1 in the final. Daniela took Slovakia to the final of the World Junior Tennis 1997 ITF Team Championships for 14 & Under. The final stages were held in Nagoya, Japan on 20th-24th August 1997.
One of the most bright young things in WTA Tour, she has already shown the game to test the big names. After taking Venus Williams to three sets at the Australian Open, Hantuchova picked up her first singles title at the prestigious Indian Wells even in March, Beating up Martina Hingis along the way. Although just 19, she has already experience of senior success in Wimbledon, winning the mixed doubles together with Leos Fredl. Her appearance is bound to draw a lot of attention - not only being coached by a Briton, Niger Sear, but she was also voted for the WTA the sexiest player by a tennis magazine.
Daniela's father was Igor, a computer scientist and mother Marianna, a toxicologist. Her tour debut and early results were auspicious. Her performance temporarily dipped, as a result of her parents splitting up in 2003. At the Wimbledon that year, she lost to the 81st ranked player in the world, failing to convert match points and weeping on court. She suffered from weight problem during this period. She was also suspected of being anorexic, however Hantuchová denied to this. She speaks six languages and was trained as a classical pianist. She is thought to be a perfectionist and places a lot of pressure on herself during her training. She qualified for university in Slovakia but deferred it to pursue tennis. She appeared in the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition alongside Maria Kirilenko and Tatiana Golovin in a pictorial entitled Volley of the Dolls.
On the court
Daniela Hantuchova achieved reasonable results in the Grand Slam events.
Her best carrer is a semifinal appearance at the 2008 Australian Open.
As well as this, she has reached three other Grand Slam quarterfinals:
at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2002 and the Australian Open in 2003.
She has reached three Grand Slam doubles finals and is only one of five
women to have a career Mixed Doubles Grand Slam. She also succeeded in mix double.
In this event, she won the 2001 Wimbledon championships with Loes Freidl, the 2002 Australian Open with Kevin Ullyett, the 2005 French
Open with Fabrice Santoro, and 2005 US Open with Mahesh Bhupathi. She
was runner-up at Wimbledon in 2002 with Ullyett, and she reached the
semifinals at the French Open in 2004 with Todd Woodbridge. At the 2005
US Open she completed a career mixed doubles Grand Slam with Mahesh Bhupathi when they beat Katrina Srebotnik and Nenad Zimonjic in the
final in straight sets. She is only the fifth woman to complete a career Grand Slam in
mixed doubles. In Perth, Western Australia in 2005, Hantuchova won the
Hopman Cup with Dominik Hrbaty.
Hantuchova's other achievements include winning eight women's
doubles titles. From 2005 to early 2007 she played doubles with Ai Sugiyama, with some fans affectionately referring to the team as
"Hantuyama". They have won three titles together: In Rome, Doha, and Birmingham as well as reaching the final at the French Open in
2006 (Hantuchova's first Grand Slam doubles final was in 2002 with
Arantaxa Sanchez Vicario at the Australian Open). "Hantuyama" won the
award for "Fan Favorite Doubles Team of 2005" at the Stars for Stars in
Miami.
She won three WTA singles tournaments in her career, the
first in 2002 at the Tier I Pacific Life Open, defeating Martina Hingis and in 2007 at the same tournament, defeating Svetlana Kuznetsova in the final, ending a five-year title
drought. Her most recent title came at the General Ladies Linz in
Austria, where she defeated Patty Schnyder in the final.
She has reached six other finals in her career Filderstadt 2002
losing to Kim Clijsters, Eastbourne 2004 losing to Svetlana Kuznetsova,
Los Angeles 2005 where she lost to Clijsters again, the 2006 Zurich
Open losing to Maria Sharapova, in Bali 2007 losing to Lindsay Daveport and Luxembourg 2007 to Ana Ivanoc.
She ended the partnership of Sugiyama in 2007, but pair will be continued playing in Dubai and Doha, its because Hantuchava was eager to play in doubles with Martina Hingis and because of that she wanted Sugiyama find a new partner. Hingis and Hantuchova only played once and reaching on the semifinals of Miami due to Hingis subsequent injury which Hingis kept out until Wimbledon. Thereafter she was partner with Nadia Petrova and Ana Ivonic in the bigger tournaments before reuniting with Hingis for the summer hardcourt tournaments in North America. They reached in third round of US open in their first attempt together at a grand slam.
Daniela was the product endorser and equipment of Nike sportswear and has her own line with them for
her tournament wear, similar to players such as Maria Sharapova and
Serena Williams.
Hantuchová also has endorsed three racquet
makers. She was first endorsed by Babolat from being a junior until
late 2003, then Yonex until the 2007 Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo
when she then used the Prince Ozone Seven Racquets from the 2007
Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships. Hantuchová
has been in many sports/tennis related video games with such players as
Maria Sharapova, Lindsay Davenport, Venus Williams and Anna Kournikova.
Some of the titles are Top Spin (both Xbox and Play Station 2
versions), Smash Court Tennis Pro Tournament 2 and Virtua Tennis 3.
Hantuchová is currently ranked third behind Serena Williams and Ana
Ivanović in a poll for new downloadable players for Top Spin 3.
Hantuchová will be a playable character in the upcoming Virtua Tennis
2009.
In Wimbledon 2009 Daniela Hantuchova breaks Chinese hearts with win over Zheng Zie
Wimbledon's international television audience was dealt a savage blow
on Wednesday afternoon when Zheng Jie, the darling of millions of
Chinese fans, was ejected from the ladies' singles tournament by
Daniela Hantuchova. The Slovakians will not making friends with the broadcasting community at the championships, having knock out the youthful heroine of the home audience. Hantuchova's height makes her extremely difficult to pass, and her
serve kicks high even off Wimbledon's sluggish grass. But the most
effective aspect of her game is the depth of her ground strokes, which
she yesterday frequently put beyond Zheng's despairing reach. There was a plenty of fist-pumping en route to victory, and Hantuchova,
who these days counts as a veteran on the circuit, is clearly feeling
good about herself and her game. "I never go on the court thinking that
the other guy is going to beat me," she said. "I always believe in
myself. If I go on the court not believing in myself, I think I
shouldn't be there." Hantuchova has now earned the chance to do further
damage to Wimbledon's worldwide audience as her third-round opponent
will be her fellow veteran Ai Sugiyama, a great favourite in her native
Japan. Sugiyama yesterday beat the Spanish qualifier Arantxa Parra
Santonja in straight sets. The Monaco-resident Slovakian is unlikely to
lose any sleep at the prospect, since her focus these days is fixed
resolutely on herself rather than the player on the other side of the
net. "With the kind of game I play, I think it's most of the time about
me," she said. "If I do the right things, I think I can beat anybody.
If I play badly, I can lose to anyone." She had a bit of a wobble as
the finish line loomed yesterday afternoon, dropping a game as she
served for the match and allowing Zheng a glimpse of a route to
survival, but then Hantuchova closed out the match with some inspired
shot-making. "Daniela played a very good match, particularly mentally,"
said her coach Larri Passos. "For the coach, mentality is the most
important." Daniela is being rank in 11 on June 9, She was being qualified for the Olympic Games in singles and also participating in double together with Janette Husarova as well.
