Halloween is right around the corner and it is the perfect time to live outside the box and become someone or something else…just for the night.  It is fun to play a character or a role and you can certainly get away with things in the name of being “in character” that you might not get away with any other time. 

I have decided to pull out all the stops and go big-time sexy with my costume this year.  Halloween is the perfect time for us suburban moms to transform our normally practical conservative selves into something that borders on just a teeny bit…slutty.  Why not?  It’s just as easy to be a sexy witch as it is to be a green, creepy witch, so why not amp it up a little and be a true little trollop for just one night.  It’s only once a year and it is so much fun.  My witch’s costume is super sexy, very short and is worn with high heeled boots and fish net stockings.  A bit of cleavage proves that I am a very bad witch, indeed. 

Feed the fantasies of every man in the room by choosing to be a sexy nurse. Don one of these short nurses uniforms and you will send blood pressure soaring! Keep your “nurses kit” handy for such emergencies. Another fantasy, sexy Halloween costume is that of the Naughty schoolgirl. I think every man thinks back to his boyhood days when he was looking at the girls in uniform and thinking lots of things regarding her short skirt and knee socks. Play into this idea and have fun with it…you will be the hit of the party, at least with the men. Don’t be surprised if you garner a few jealous stares from the other women, however!

If you are going to a party with your spouse or significant other it is definitely an opportunity to use a theme and dress up as a duo.  One of my favorite costume duos is the rugged Gunslinger outfit teamed up with the sexy Saloon girl.  The super sexy red strapless dress, pantaloons and crazy feather hat make any woman into an old fashioned sex symbol.   Your “Gunslinger” won’ be able to take his eyes off you!   You may have to put him under arrest with a pair of toy handcuffs! 

Use your imagination and have fun, which is the point anyway. Dressing up for Halloween can and should be the highlight of your holiday and it certainly isn’t just for kids anymore. Use the “dress-up” factor as the opportunity that it is to be something other than YOU for a night. And above all else…WORK IT BABY!
