Rear of the Year is a British award held yearly for people with a fine posterior. It is organised by Rear of the Year Limited and was Initially presented as a one off thing. Barbara Windsor, the famous carry on star who is now in a UK famous soap called "Eastenders" won the very first award in 1976.
In 1986 the award was presented to a man for the very first time, Michael Barrymore, and 1989 Marina Ogilvy, the daughter of Princess Alexandra, be the first royal recipient won it. From 1996 the awards have been presented yearly to both sexes.
Sian Lloyd and joint winner Lee mead (right pic) now join a star-studded list of Britain's posteriors to be crowned Rear of the Year for 2007.
At 49, Sian, who was once engaged to Liberal Democrat MP Lembit Opik. And Lee Stephen Mead, who is a British musical theatre actor, best known for playing the male lead in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. beat younger contestants to win the title in the online poll.
