Underwear aka undergarments are worn next to the skin under our clothes. In Australia it’s called Reg Grundys or Reginalds and in the UK smalls for small clothes.

Women’s underwear called lingerie typically includes a bra and panties while men wear briefs, boxers or boxer briefs with a sleeveless shirt (wife beater, tank) or t-shirt (tee).

Underwear styles worn by both men and women are bikini underwear, thongs or g-string.

A little history; the loincloth is believed to have been the first type of undergarment. Next, was underwear called braies that was laced to the waist and worn in the Middle Ages. Think of cloth diapers for adults and you get the idea. Braies were later fitted with a front flap to allow men to urinate without removing everything.

Women and men wore a chemise or smock on the top. During the 18^th century with the arrival of factories and mass production, people shopped in stores instead of making their own undergarments.

Stays or a tight fitting corset (similar to a bra) became popular for displaying a lady’s bosom in its entire splendor. On and on went the changes until we reached our current time.

I love underwear and I’m glad that I live in the current century. I wouldn’t have been able to stand wearing those ghastly panties called pantalettes or pantaloons (bloomers) and a corset that stops you from breathing.

Women had to be so chaste in the past with their underwear. Even a peek of the ankles was enough to start a scandal so imagine if you showed your underwear er…pantaloons what they’d do to you. I’m sure they’d have had the underwear police after you.

In my will I’m making provisions that I be buried in sexy, new underwear. In heaven I’ll continue with my love of underwear by running my own lingerie empire.

I love panties most of all but not enough to get them with the designer’s name tattooed on the butt. Nope, too tacky, it’s bad enough that they aren’t sticking to the little inside tag anymore.

I had that type of underwear when I was a young’ un. It was frilly on the backside and I only wore it to church on Sundays. I also had some that had the days of the week written on the behind. I guess so that I would remember my days of the week. Who knew if I ever got that wrong or right for that matter

Now, I like sexy bikini, boy shorts and g-string panties. The racy crotchless is for that secret encounter and the candy g-string for the guy that likes to eat your candy. I like the really playful and mysterious side of me and the garter and panty sure does that.

I have a small collection of g-stings . Who invented those? Since men have been deciding what we wear for eons; I wouldn't be surprised if they were the ones.

Every year I get rid of those that are stretched out, sagging, colourless or tired looking. They are replaced with brand spanking new ones to titillate my senses and anyone who gets the pleasure of seeing my behind.

It’s a shame that the major department stores are frequently disappointing in their selection and quality that one has to rely on the lingerie boutiques.

My only other complaint is that the underwear doesn’t fit a girl like me that has a big booty. So designers and manufacturers if you’re out there help a girl out and design with the black booty in mind too.
