Shane Minor is an American country music singer-songwriter.
Before his recording career began, Minor was a police officer in the Los Angeles Police Department, as well as a rodeo bull rider. After leaving the police force, Minor became a singer, working small gigs throughout California, eventually recording a demo tape which was sent to producer Dann Huff.Shane was signed to Mercury Nashville Records in 1999. His debut single, "Slave to the Habit", reached #20 on the Billboard U.S. Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts that same year; in addition, he toured with country-pop singer Shania Twain.Minor left Mercury Records in 2000, and has not recorded any albums since. However, he continues to write songs for other country music artists, including "Beautiful Mess" by Diamond Rio and "Brand New Girlfriend" by Steve Holy, both of which reached Number One on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Minor also co-wrote Clay Walker's 2007 single "Fall", which was co-written with Sonny LeMaire, former member of the country music band Exile.
