Shattered Pieces
54
I watched your image from a distance fade
When my day was young
Imprisoned tears escape my eyes
Many nights I was sleep deprived
Your heart had harden like jade
You left with out a goodbye
Broken pieces of you, you left behind
Shattered like glass for usĀ find
Some of the shattered could not even crawl
Too early in the day for them to recall
The pain of the pieces
Still imbeded in me
It is part of my flesh
And my memory
Once my heart lay anger and disdain
Pity and sorrow for you now remaim
The pieces of me you will not know
Because long ago you decide to go
They have names, personalities and faces
All of them my heart embraces
They will not know broken or emptiness
Nor will my image be unseen or faded
I will be in there life until my breath ceases
They will never be shatter pieces....
