sheffield united was formed in 1889 by one of the sheffield fc members (sheffield fc are the oldest football club in the world). Sheffield United are nicknamed the Blades because of their emblem which was designed by JImmy Hagan one of the clubs previous players.and their club song is called a greasy chip buttie these are the words:-

From the beggining the blades have been sucessful. they won the F.A cup in in 1899, 1902, 1915 and 1925 and first league win in 1898. and been finalists in many cups and league play offs baisically every season. The ground that sheffield united play at is called Bramall Lane which is red and Hillsborugh which is blue this the baldes rival team sheffield wednesday also nicknamed the owls due to their emblem. Sheffield United have the modernist ground in sheffield and it was even bombed in WW2 and in a match in 1991 the match had to be stopped due to the fact that there was an unexploded bomb found next to the lane by work men.
