Shock

I'm sure that someone has already written a hub about the passing of the late, great Michael Jackson.  There will never be another person like him, that is for sure.  I thought I would share some thoughts and feelings about this because he is the only celebrity that I have ever cried over.  The shock of three celebrities passing in the same day is a lot to take in, but Michael was the biggest shock of all.

Here's a man that broke so many barriers, went through so much legal trouble, and had to deal with the press bashing him for something that no one really knows is true, and right when he's ready to put himself back into performing, dies at home.  He has one of the largest fan bases in the world, and I'm sure that I'm not the only one that was waiting to see what he was going to do next.  Yeah, he was 50, but I still wanted to see.  He's still an amazing man to me, even with knowledge of all the controversies surrounding his life story.

The shock wore off when I read a blog on Yahoo! about him.  Looking at his pictures, thinking of my favorite songs, thinking of his family, his fans, I just started crying like he was part of my family.  Even today, I was looking on the web to see what else people are saying about his death, even talked to my husband about it, and started crying again.  I'm telling you, no other celebrity passing has affected me in such a way.  Tupac, Aalyah, Left Eye, James Brown, Gerald Levert, Bernie Mac, just to name a few, didn't shed not one tear.  I was sad that they were gone, but it just didn't affect me the same.

Rage

Back to discussing my feelings with my husband, he told me that while he was at work, he heard comments by some people about the passing of Michael. It was a hard rock radio station, and they played some of Michael's music as a tribute. I thought that was sweet. But when my man told me about some of the comments that were made, I went from crying to cussing in a split second!

It's like this, I know that a lot of people don't like Michael because of the allegations around him molesting little boys. Sexual abuse is not something that I tolerate, at all. When I first heard of the charges being brought on Michael for that, I knew it was not true. Why would Michael, as weird as he seemed to those who hated on him, need to find sexual pleasure in a little boy? I never believed he was capable, and the courts found him not guilty. Just because more than one child (and their parents) came forward with the accusations, doesn't mean that it is true. His child like manner is what made these people believe that he could actually do this. Again, I don't believe that its true. I think that the parents were never comfortable with their children staying in his home to begin with and if that was the case, why didn't they just say "no"?

What got me so hot though, was people calling in saying that he deserved to die.  NO ONE DESERVES TO DIE!!!  NO ONE!  I don't think for a second that that man deserved to die.  And I was molested as a child, I didn't even want that man to die for what he did to me.  Why are people so bitter about stuff that didn't even happen to them?  Why has most people forgotten about the good that Michael did?  One bad accusation, one bad nose job or face lift, some skin discoloration and people are ready to hang him!  Really?

Now there's about 3 books full of Michael Jackson books about his death now.  If you ask me, the jokes are inappropriate, but they are jokes, you can either listen to them or not, I know I can't stop them, so I guess I choose not to listen.  (That was sarcasm about the 3 book thing, in case your about to go looking for the books.)

Sorrow

Now that I'm done ranting about that, I just wanted to let everyone know that's screaming at your computer screens that I'm wrong about something in this article.  The fact is Michael Jackson was one of the greatest entertainers to have lived on this Earth, and we should feel lucky and privelaged to have encountered such a human being.  There will never be anyone else like him.  I pray for peace in his family that he left behind, and I also pray for those who wished for him to die.  I don't hate you, we're all entitled to our own opinions and we can believe or not believe whatever we choose.

To other fans of Michael, don't worry, the world will end soon and we'll all be gone like him.  Keep loving and dancing for our King of Pop.

A word to the wise, if you don't like this article, don't comment on it. I'll just keep it to laugh at and piss you off at the same time. ?Intiendes? (That's Spanish, look it up!) Okay Naj, sorry I got so defensive. No, I'm not from Spain. I'm from Kansas. I have Mexican family, but I can't speak Spanish fluently, just a little bit to get me by. This article is suppose to be about how I feel about Michael Jackson passing away and how I feel about some people who are continuing to put him down about his life and death. Is there anything else you didn't get? I need feedback.
