I am a guy and I like to have my hair short. When it grows long, it starts to curl. One of the reason that I don't like my hair to grow too long is that my face will get oily at the end of the day.

I have naturally curly hair and people just don't understand how different it is from straight hair! They always say they wish they had curly hair but I assure them that they would not like it! It just takes so much work and product to keep it looking nice and nonfrizzy that I almost always blow it out straight--which takes FOREVER!

My profile shows me with my hair straightened, but in reality my hair is very curly and suffers from terminal frizz. People with straight hair do not understand what it's like to try and get the knots out, it's always time consuming and painful, especially around the collar line. Curly hair has a mind of it's own! and is very frustrating on the days that it won't co-operate.
It's hard to find a hairdresser that cuts naturally curly hair well. I have learned that it's best to run from any that ask if my hair is natural or permed - a sure sign that they are going to cut your hair as if it were straight.

I agree with Masonsmom who say that people just don't understand the difference between curly and straight hair. I like my hair, but wish it was straight. I've tried to straighten my hair but it just doesn't look good at all!! So, I'm stuck with my curls--but I've learned to like them. Alot of people are jealous of my curls--and I don't understand. Even people that know me ask if my hair is naturally curly or permed! It's crazy!
hey guys, I have curly hair and used to hate it when young, but now I LOVE it!!! A few tricks that I have found helpful: I always use minimum products whilst washing and conditioning my hair else it gets weighed down, I love Paul Mitchell's leave in 'The Conditioner'. Take a small amount, smooth it through and comb hair while wet with a wide toothed comb. I don't touch it after that. When it's air dryed, I put my head down, shake it out and everyone goes ooh and aah ;) hope this helps!

i have curly hair, and i used to hate it but now i love it. i have friends with hair just as curly as mine, but they hate it and straighten it into oblivion. i used to, but two hours is just too long to spend on it.
something i have found that helps with curly hair is just to leave it for normal days. a nice look is with the fron center section bobby-pinned back, and the rest just out.
for going out, add beach cream. it de frizzes and holds like nothing else. it doesnt weigh it down, either. the only problem is, it gets yucky the next morning, so wash it out that night or the next morning .
I have extremely thick natural curly hair. Some days I love it, others, I would like it to be straight... But I'm happy that I can have the best of both worlds... Only it takes forever to straighten it, and I have to get it thinned every 3 months in order to straighten it or else it's really fluffy and doesn't look right. I'm looking for a hair style that will look good either way. Very difficult to find. I love the pictures but I consider short hair jaw length or shorter not past the shoulders like most of the pictures here. I'm getting ready to donate my hair to Locks of Love and was looking for short curly hairstyles for very curly hair other than mini afro or poodle wedge. Maybe next time the page is updated you could include some of those styles.

Great styles!I have natural curly hair and i'm a hair stylist by trade, and i can tell you that 90% of this hair styles have had ahour or hours spent on them to look the way they do. Naturally curly hair is not that perfect looking! to bad we don't all have our own stylist to make it look so easy or a ghd on hand!!!!

I have super thick and curly hair. It changed to kinky curly when I turned 13 and stayed that way for 8-9 years. Then when I had my kids it turned wavy (wavy to me and curly to everyone else) I used to never get it trimmed because I hated the how they always cut!! I have since found a person that understands my hair and love getting it cut now. I have found that GOOD products are essencial and especially with thick hair getting it thinned out on a regular basis is key. The Paul Mitchel leave in conditioner is great too... Also lots of mostizer cream products work well for me to put the mostier back in my hair. I have straightened my hair too but it just doesn't seem right! I was born with this hair and I am going to work with it!!

I have big wavy naurally curley hair and i was always wondering what to do with it. the jell made it look wet and crispy but i think the hair spray will really do something =]

I have really long curly hair and i've always had a hard time with it. My hair is extremely thick and semi course so i can't do much with it. I used a product by Suave which made my hair look GREAT but they discontinued that product so now i'm back to square one. In the winter i am able to straighten my hair out and it looks really good but can't do that during the summer due to the hummidity. So, i guess i'm going to cut this birds nest off my head soon, hopefully i can find a cute style/cut for it.
I wish I had naturally curly hair. But instead I am cursed with thin straight long blonde hair. I curl it a lot, because I hate it straight. My hair holds a curl very well though, If I curl it, so it's like spirals, then take a shower the next day, when I get out, after shampooing and conditioning, it recurls itself, and stays like that if I don't brush it or comb it! Is that supposed to happen, and it's not the same kind of wave or curl that I get if I hadn't curled it before that.
