3 - Get the coverage you need. If you can't risk your car being destroyed then don't just get collision coverage. I always suggest people get full coverage personally.

In conculsion don't sell yourself short. Make sure you get sufficent coverage, just because you're getting short term auto insurance doesn't mean that you can settle for less. Don't pay too much, shop around. There are lots of places on the internet that you can find compnaies that will provide comperable service and quality at a better cost to you, and hey, that's what it's all about, money.
