Why are home loans for our essential service providers at the same costs or as home loans for average consumer? It takes a very special human being to risk their live everyday for strangers, educate our children, and jump into a burning building to save someone’s life that they do not know, all in the name of duty!

I think we can all agree, that fire fighters, and police officers lose their lives everyday somewhere in our country. Teacher has been shot and killed on school campuses like Columbine massacres, and other tragic events like these that have taken place around the world. Two young fire fighters just lost their lives last week fighting the still raging California wildfires.

The Veterans Administration got it right when it comes to providing home mortgage financing for our honored military who are our primary font line heroes, however, we need to create the same program features, incentives and opportunities for our local community heroes.

It is time to make changes to the current lending policies to include our fire fighter, police officers, teachers, and health providers in the zero down payments zero closing costs home loan options currently only being offered to our honored military.

What do you think? Should home loans for heroes be free?

Or should our local heroes have to pay like everyone else?

Your thoughts and comments are appreciated.
