I have had many clients ask me this question, and there is not a straight forward answer. Having a 100% flash website has its pros and cons, but there are some compromises.

So let’s take a look at all the options that are available when you want a new website:

HTML & CSS website

For most websites, this is the conventional way to build. The technology is reliable and has been around for years. If you can find a good designer, the design possibilities are endless with the power of CSS.

100% Flash website

Flash changed the way we looked and interacted with the web, bringing rich internet applications and experiences straight to our computer. We can now play games, stream live movies and much more thanks to the power of flash.

I always advise if you want your website to make you money, don’t use 100% flash as the SEO techniques and much more difficult using flash. If you want a great looking showcase website, online game or video then certainly a flash website will suit your requirements.

HTML & CSS & Flash Elements

The great thing about flash is we can put it anywhere on our website, you can get the best of both worlds by using elements of flash in your website.

HTML & CSS & JavaScript

With the arrival of many great JavaScript libraries, such as jquery, we can now create flash like animations and effects on our websites. The benefits of using JavaScript over flash are in some circumstances they will load a lot quicker.
