Jon and Kate Plus 8 is a television reality show that plays out on the TLC network. Jon and Kate Gosselin are married and initially had a set of twins. Then additonal twins came into the family when Kate took fertility pills hoping for another set of twins but instead had three other sets. Normally families who have kids in multiples get college grants and other gifts from sponsors. Jon and Kate got a television reality show detailing each move that the family makes.

His picture was on the magazine tabloids as if ducking from the camera by riding with another female.

Kate's response has been diplomatic as her personality but now it is reported that they are living 500 miles apart from each other. You get a glimpse of Kate's personality when she "supervised the three moves the family had to make because of the need for extra living space. Kate seem to be the controlling one of the couple.

Jon and Kate Plus 8 makes between $37,000 and $50,000 per episode and the size and scope of the house increases with each move. The television reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8 is doing quite well in popularity. However, Kate's personality is one of dominance and she treats Jon like one of the eight children. On two of the moves, Jon managed to move the outside wooden play equipment without any problem. Jon, dismantled the outside play gym, plank by plank and managed to move and rebuild it with each move. Jon has sentimental value to the play gym because his father who recently passed gave it to the kids. Kate seemed aloft as he spoke of the viability of moving the play gym with each family move.Kate's attitude is that she does not quite understand why he continues to move the play gym each time.

If you watch the reality show, you will find that Kate does more complaining about getting things done instead of actually getting up and lending a helping hand. Kate is good with planning birthday parties but when it comes to hands on work, Jon is the go to person. It is reported that Jon did not attend one of these parties where the television audience has watched the eight kids grow up.

During the couch interviews, where Jon & Kate Plus 8 sits beside each other, Kate always manages to interrupt Jon if he answered a question. It is as though Kate thinks the interview should be all about her opinion. Jon seems to be low keyed and just was doing what Kate told him until the interview where he admitted that he was not satisfied with Jon and Kate Plus 8. Jon said that he just wanted to be Jon. Jon was laid off from his job and it appears that he does not want the eight children to be a meal ticket. In fact the state of Pennsylvania is having court proceedings to see if the children should legally be on television.

Kate has admitted that if the Jon leaves Jon & Kate Plus 8 that she will probably leave the show. One television interview of Kate stated that Jon was allowed to see other women as long as he was available at the taping of each show. Kate admitted that the television reality show Jon and Kate Plus 8 was a way to make a living and she need to have a means of providing for her family.

Kate just keeps on with her planning of events for the eight children. Kate is more of the event planner and Jon is more or the doer of projects under the instruction of Kate. The family schedule is adhered to everyday, thanks to Kate and the 8 kids are fed at a regular time and naps at scheduled times. When Kate is off to book signings in other states, the kids are cared for by nannies. It has been reported that Kate has gone through about fifty nannies until she decided on a few to care for her reality show family of eight.

As of this writing, there has been talk of divorce and Kate puts all of the blame for the maybe soon to be break up of the family on Jon. Lately, Jon and Kate has been having their couch interview separated by one of her eight children whose plight is in litigation. The children are aware that they are being filmed on television and a different kid makes an announcement welcoming viewers to the show each week.

Family critics are concerned that the kids may not be getting their fair worth of the show's proceeds. Other televison kids have grown up on camera but not on a reality shows. There is concern that if the kids have to witness a separation or an eventual divorce, that it would not be right to have the circumstances and their reactions played out on television.
