If you've ever been on a restrictive diet before, you already know just how hard it can be to stick with if you're constantly feeling those nagging pains of hunger.

Hoodia and Time Effectiveness
First, you need to understand that hoodia can take a week or two to exert its full benefits, therefore if you aren't experiencing results right away, don't fret, you will in time.
If by the end of two weeks of you using it there are still strong hunger signals, then you can increase the dosage slightly. Some people will need a higher dose, but it's important you don't just start out with a higher dose as you don't know how your body will react.
If, after the higher dose it's still not helping, then you might be one of the few people who actually don't respond to hoodia at all, and for you, it's not going to be a beneficial weight loss supplement.
Hoodia Does Not Look After Nutrition
Next up, if the hoodia is working in your system and you are not feeling hungry any longer, it's still vitally important to look at your nutrition and make sure it's up to par.
While on a weight loss diet it's still going to be critical that you are getting enough protein, vitamins, and minerals, so if the hunger is so low it means you're not eating enough at all, that's a big problem.
Plan out a diet and force yourself to eat it - hungry or not.
That will help make sure you don't experience malnutrition.
Hoodia and the Metabolic Rate
Next, be sure you are eating enough calories as well. While it's great to eat a lower calorie diet to help promote optimal fat loss, if you aren't eating enough, your metabolic rate will dramatically slow down, causing further weight loss and weight maintenance for that matter to become harder.
So, keep the calories up, even while using the hoodia.
Hoodia and Exercise
Finally, if you plan on doing intense exercise sessions, again, be sure you're eating enough, particularly carbohydrates.
If you aren't, you're going to see exercise performance dramatically decline, so at the very least have a good carb-rich meal before and after your workout.
So, keep these points in mind when considering the hoodia supplement. It can be helpful for some people, but you must be sure you are using it correctly or you could set yourself up for a number of problems later on once your diet is completed and you try and maintain the weight loss.
