Should we or should we not have a bassinet in our bedroom? We are expecting our first daughter in April.

Keeping up the honesty!!

First off thank you for what you said to me when u added me!!! it made my day!! Made me feel good. Thank you so much.

I have a 2yr old boy. So my opinion on having the bed in your room is this... Not only do we as the woman struggle all 9 months but you do as well. So as new parents we deserve some help and a little slack. So why not have the baby that may wake up every 2 to 4 hrs right next to you? Not only are you right there if your child should stop breathing, cause let me tell you, when you have that baby every little sound that baby makes will wake you out of the most dead sleep ever. Its such an amazing wonderful feeling as much as we are tired for work in the morning it all ends up worth it!! So spoil yourselfs!!!!!!! and set the baby up next to you!!

Like i said earlier thank you for your kind words. And i would love to hear your stories about catching shoplifters!! bet theres some good ones!!! I am 7 months into criminal justice major. I just got sick while in school so ive been on a break for too long!! but i cant seem to get better long enough! lol. thats life right....Well i look forward to talking to you and your wife again!!!

Have a Wonderful Day!!!

Sure thing desa- glad to have you on board at hubpages. I'm pretty new myself, but have gotten lots of value out of it already.

So you are an advocate for having the baby nearby? I'm sure it will be amazing to have a first child- we're really looking forward to it. I'll ask a similar question of you that I just asked of the last person who responded to the question- Do you think that having the baby in the room will hinder their ability to go to sleep on their own? In other words, do you think they have a hard time "on their own" when they finally have to sleep in their own rooms?
