Shoutem is a different microblog from Twitter

Shoutem is set up as an independent and experimental blog. Shoutem can be used for a personal network or can be merged into Twitter tweets. The Shoutem shouts can become tweets. I think that this concept is no competition for Twitter, but rather is an awesome complement for Twitter, and a concept that Google likes. This microblog also allows a seemless connection to Facebook, Ning and Ping.fm. The owners aim to become the Ning of microblogging.

While there are a lot of services that allow you to tweet to your blog, there are no applications that allow you to tweet from your blog. Tweetree and others enhance the Twitter experience, but do not drive traffic to your blog, especially when you have other url's in the tweet. Shoutem changes this dynamic.

This technology allows Google to extend adsense all over the place in a microblogging platform.Google is no doubt looking for ways to monetize Twitter and this Shoutem microblog is one effective way to do so. We will have to see what impact this microblog concept has on adsense. Also, this technology is a great way to get backlinks for Hubpages or any website.

Shoutem is an interesting concept because you are able to capture keywords that you want. You are able to choose the skins you want and allow members in the way that you want from the Shoutem dashboard. The service is free. There is a fee if you want a domain name or of you want to run Google adsense, although this too is free while in beta.

I would highly recommend that Hubbers and other content providers, as well as Twitterholics go check out the Shoutem microblog concept. I have created a few of them which I will give links to below. Keep in mind that Shoutem is formatted for mobile applications as well.

I said from time to time, I’d highlight some bad search results I come across. Here’s a killer — a top ranking for us national anthem on Google that when you click on it brings up random web sites that have nothing to do with the song. Behind the scenes, there’s an Ask.com connection. Let’s dive in.

We promised we'd start publishing some of the more entertaining emails we get in our inbox, in the probably ridiculous hope that publicly shaming people may actually lessen the flow of these absurd messages. Well Kmadhav, we will have to see how it works out. It is a startup and like all startups we will have to check on the popularity and power it generates.
