Has Shriya become an item girl in Telugu? She is doing a " sexy item number" for the Telugu film Tulasi with top hero Venkatesh. The number is going to be canned in a Hyderabad studio, from Thursday (Sep 20) under top secrecy.

This is going to be Shriya's fourth item number in Tollywood in the last one year! Her heroes in Tamil are furious with her for going and doing item numbers, at a time when she is the number one heroine in Tamil after Sivaji. Only last month under pressure from her Tamil heroes, she had to opt out of doing an item number in a top Tamil comedian's movie!

Remember that Shriya is the highest paid heroine in the history of Tamil films and is a much respected brand in Tamilnadu, especially after being superstar Rajnikanth's heroine. Her producers in Tamil are also upset and shocked that she is doing an item number. The Telugu film will be dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam before the release of her big budget Tamil films, creating confusion among her audiences.

It looks like Shriya believes more in the theory- "Make hay while the sun shines"!
