Shriya Saran begun her filmy career with the Telugu movie ISHTAM by Ramoji Rao. But her actual media career started with a Music video during her training in an Acting Career.  Click here for Shriya Saran: Sexy Siren Gallery 1


Her dream was to be in movies and started with ISHTAM in 2001.  However, her first successfully movie was SANTHOSHAM in 2002.  Playing the role of Bhanu, she was noticed by larger audience and appreciated the role.  This followed several Telugu films with big names and top actors.

Shriya Saran was born on September 11, 1982, in Haridwar.  Her family moved to Delhi, where she started learning Kathak from guru Shovana Narayan.

She wanted to break into Bollywood Hindi movies.  She did her first Hindi movie in 2003 Tujhe Meri Kasam which was debut film of Genelia D'Souza.  Though, the movie was success in north India, but did not impress the all India audience.  She made her Tamil debut in the movie “Ennaku 20 Unnaku 18” as second lead with Trisha.

She was very popular in Telugu till 2007.  Her super duper hit Tamil movie “Sivaji: The Boss” with Rajni in Tamil, she got lot offers from Tamil film makers.

.  In 2008 her released included Tamil, Hindi and English movies.  In 2009 several Tamil movies are slotted to be released.  The most awaited being her movie Kanthaswamy with Vikram.

She is currently dating Jesse Metcalfe who is co-actor for one of her English Movies.
