STS-120 Shuttle Launch

I keep meaning to put together a hub about the NASA Shuttle Launchs for the Discovery before the launches occur, but then I always forget to do it. So this time I'm just goin ahead the day after a successful launch :)

The Discovery's latest launch took place yesterday morning, Tuesday, October 23rd at 11:38 a.m. EDT. They'll arrive at the International Space Station on Thursday, October 25th, at around 8:30 a.m. In addition to dropping off a new crew member at the station. Five spacewalks are scheduled as part of the Discovery crew's mission with the objective of installing the Node 2 module named "Harmony".

The Harmony Module

The module will be the connecting point between the U.S. Destiny lab, the European Space Agency's Columbus module and the Japanese Kibo module. Harmony's delivery to the station sets the stage for the following two space shuttle flights that will carry the Columbus and Kibo components to the station.
