I was caught a little off guard and had to work overtime if you will because of the short week. But nonetheless, I know you guys don't want excuses, you want results. So here we go, the Week 10 NFL Picks. Enjoy

Chicago (4-4) @ San Francisco (3-5) This week the NFL treats us to a a Thursday night game. We’re lucky because we got a game on Monday and then skip to Thursday and get another game. Great times all around except for a small detail: the Bears and 49ers aren’t exactly world beaters. Don’t get me wrong, the game should probably be close and entertaining, but wouldn’t a heated divisional game have made more sense here? Considering that Pittsburgh played this past Monday, we couldn’t have had their game against Cincinnati this Thursday, but I would have actually preferred to watch JaMarcurs Russell walk onto the field with his pimped out mink coat (in Oakland of all places) and then proceed to stink up the joint while tons of women take advantage of the nationally televised broadcast to bring signs of this variety: “fictional characters on Cable go to jail”, “Time for satellite, get rid of Cable”, and my favorite, “On the next CSI, the football coach gets it. Tune in, only on Cable”. My other choice for a divisional game would have been Seattle @ Arizona, but there’s less juicy stuff to promote there. Please get it right next year NFL. Pick: Niners win 19-16.

New Orleans (8-0) @ St. Louis (1-7) If I asked you to come up with one of the best television ladies man; some people might say Mike Lowry (played by Will Smith) in Bad Boys. However, if I then asked you to come up with the complete opposite, you might come up with Steve Urkel (played by Jaleel White) from Family Matters. Lowry is smooth, smart, confident, charming, good looking and can hold his own in any setting with a woman; whereas Urkel is nerdy, clumsy, unattractive and annoying. If you sent both of them out together and held a contest to see which one of them would come back with the most phone numbers, Lowry would win in landslide. The match up would be a complete mismatch of epic proportions. That’s what we’re facing this Sunday as the mighty Saints collide with the Rams.  I think New Orleans put up 20 points in the first quarter. Pick: Saints win 43-23.

Tampa Bay (1-7) @ Miami (3-5) Here’s the Dolphins’ recipe for the game:

-Run the ball

-Run the ball

-Run the ball out of the wildcat

-Unleash Joey Porter and Jason Taylor

Seems like a good plan against the Buccaneers right? Pick: Dolphins win 20-10.

Detroit (1-7) @ Minnesota (7-1) Let's let the Fox Pre-Game guys break this game down.

Curt Menefee: What do you guys think about the Lions and Vikings match up?

Terry Bradshaw: Boy that Brett Favre sure can play huh?

Jimmy Johnson: Favre is awesome but man I tell ya, if I had coached him, he would have won a few Super Bowls instead of just one. Look at my shiny ring.

Howie Long: If the Vikings are able to get pressure on Matthew Stafford, they should be able to blow this thing open early. They have shown in the past few weeks an uncanny ability to pressure the quarterback.

Michael Strahan: Man I get what you sayin Howie; but take it from a guy who knows, I have gotten to Favre before and shook him up. I did when i got my NFL record in sacks and I did it in the NFC title game two years ago when our team was on its way to the Super Bowl.

Howie Long: What's your point Michael?

Michael Strahan: That the game doesn't need to be talked about and that I have a Super Bowl ring.

Howie Long: So do I.

Terry Bradshaw: Same here Mike.

Jimmy Johnson: I have a few rings, look at these babies.

Michael Strahan: True, you guys all have rings, but I'm the most recent guy here to get one.

Curt Menefee: Anybody besides Howie have any thoughts about the Lions visiting the Vikings?

Jimmy Johnson: I don't see why we need to talk about this game, Minnesota's going to kill them.

Pick: Vikings win 33-17.

Jacksonville (4-4) @ NY Jets (4-4) I asked Jags fan Drew Breezy what his team’s chances were for this week’s game: “I don't see us winning. It is as if they get wasted Saturday, have late night liaisons and then as an after thought play when away..” How could I possibly pick the Jaguars after that statement? Keep in mind, Jacksonville is traveling to New York, the city that never sleeps; the city that keeps you in trouble. Pick: Jets win 20-17.

Phil Simms and Jim Nantz
Phil Simms and Jim Nantz

Buffalo (3-5) @ Tennessee (2-6) Jim Nantz: Good day ladies and gentlemen, this is Jim Nantz and Phil Simms; welcome to the CBS-Tostitos Who Cares Bowl

Phil Simms: That's right Jim, we're about to watch to witness a game today that no one really cares about. Hopefully, the Tostitos chips and the dip in the studio is better then the gayme..." (ever realize how Simms  pronounces the word game?).

Needless to say, I think that Nantz and Simms did a pretty good job of stating the obvious. Pick: Titans win 26-23.

Cincinnati (6-2) @ Pittsburgh (6-2) Back when I was a kid, I used to love watching WCW wrestling. The wrestlers seemed cool and had these sophisticated moves they would pull during the matches to get the crowd excited. However, there was one guy I despised: the Nature Boy Ric Flair. He was the world heavyweight champ and won by any means necessary. It didn’t matter if you were the new up and coming wrestler (Sting) that everybody was feeling; Flair always had a trick up his sleeve to beat you. It was simple, boring, unimpressive and yet so effective. Once he got you into his figure four leg lock in the middle of the ring, you were cooked. Ric Flair won the title more times then any other wrestler and always found a way to come out on top. Any of this sound familiar? The defending champs are getting their swagger back. Pick: Steelers win 20-17.

Ric Flair vs Sting

Denver (6-3) @ Washington (2-6) Some men reach an age where they are no longer able to get their soldier to rise whenever they require his services in fulfilling their manly duties. When pressed with such hard times, instead of going back and forth on their inability to rise to the occasion; these men fix things by procuring some Viagra. In the end, they were able to get back to their game plan, feel good about themselves as they performed and got their mojo back. For the Denver Broncos, their Viagra is also known as the Washington Redskins. Pick: Broncos win 24-17.

Atlanta (5-3) @ Carolina (3-5) There’s just something off about the Carolina Panthers. I’m not sure why but I get the distinct impression that they are slowly starting to turn the corner. Does that mean that they will make the playoffs? Hell to the nah. However, they will play spoiler to a couple of teams as the remainder of the season unfolds. A quick reminder: NFC South teams struggled when they traveled to Carolina last year. Although the Panthers haven’t been the same team this season, they were still a more then decent team last season. So factor that in for the remainder of their NFL season. Consequently, it’s the reason I’m picking Carolina at home this weekend. Pick: Panthers win 26-23.

Tupac Shakur
Tupac Shakur

Kansas City (1-7) @ Oakland (2-6) I am currently reading Bill Simmons The Book of Basketball. In the book, Simmons has a chapter in which he compares Bill Walton to Tupac. Even better, Simmons recites a line from the song Picture me rollin’. Keep in mind, Bill is a Caucasian male into his 40’s who happens to be knowledgeable when it comes to hip hop; but it still caught me completely off guard. I mention this because something about this game had me scratching my head for a good minute. Can you figure out what? C’mon, think about it…..Give up? I’m picking the Raiders to win this game. That’s not the head scratcher though; what threw me off is that if Oakland wins, the crappy JaMarcus Russell will have defeated one team twice this season! And this whole time I was making fun of J-Marc and said he should be a certified Bay Area pimp instead of an NFL quarterback. Goes to show how much I know. Pick: Raiders win 17-13. Random note: Before playing basketball, the only Tupac song I can listen to is Ambitionz as a Ridah; the beat gets my juices flowing. I felt like you guys needed to know that.

Seattle (3-5) @ Arizona (5-3) The Cardinals confuse the hell out of me. When I pick them to lose, they win; but when I pick them to win they lose. So what gives? They are unpredictable and unreliable. With that said, I’m still picking them at home to beat Seattle. Pick: Cardinals win 27-24.

Dallas (6-2) @ Green Bay (4-4) I'm on fire with this whole bringing in panel of NFL experts thing; so this time we're getting the ESPN NFL Countdown crew to pick this game.

Boomer: Coach, what do you think of the Cowboys and Packers game?

Ditka: Right now, after losing to Tampa Bay, I'm putting Green Bay and the whole state of Wisconsin in my doghouse.

Keyshawn: C'mon man. I'm a receiver and I expect receivers to make plays. Miles Austin right now is making plays. He's getting open and he's making plays. I'm back on the Cowboys bandwagon.

Tom: Yea but how long until we see Romo start turning the ball over at high rate again? He fooled me once, and he won't fool me again. Speaking as a defensive player, I would be embarrassed if my team couldn't force turnovers from Tony Romo. I think the Packers force him into some mistakes at Lambeau.

Chris: I feel you TJ, but right now the Cowboys are doing everything we've been asking them to do. They are rushing the passer, running the football and throwing the ball to that kid Austin. Short of my son playing for a team in the NFC East, I'm feeling the Cowboys right now.

Tom: You're going to pick Romo over Rodgers?

Chris: It's like Janet Jackson said, what have you done for me lately? Romo beat Philly, Rodgers lost to Tampa. Nuff' said. Back to you Boom....

Pick: Cowboys win 23-20.

Philadelphia (5-3) @ San Diego (5-3) Back when Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Rock were wrestling, the most hated man in wrestling was Vince McMahon. Whenever his song would come on and he would walk out to the ring, the crowd would unleash a series of boos to make sure that Vinnie Mac knew how much they hated him.  Well this week I felt a little like Vince McMahon. I wrote an article about the state of the Chargers this year and got killed for it. I got hate mail, racist comments and obviously people making fun of my Colts. The worst part? I loved every minute of it. True fans stick with their teams no matter what. I felt what I wrote was on point, but others disagreed; that’s just how things go sometimes. Nevertheless, with San Diego suddenly showing some groupie love to quarterbacks and putting them on their backs (14 sacks in last three games), I think they will be accommodating McNabb the same way the inmates accommodated Derek Vinyard (played by Ed Norton) in American History X. Pick: Chargers win 24-20

Shaq asks Kobe: "Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes..."
Shaq asks Kobe: "Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes..."

New England (6-2) @ Indianapolis (8-0) Red Sox and Yankees, Duke and North Carolina, Celtics and Lakers, Cowboys and Giants, Broncos and Raiders, Lakers and Spurs,  Shaq and Kobe, 50 Cent and every other rapper not part of G-Unit, Michael Jordan and Chamillionaire (please have a look at the video below, Chamillionaire is not happy with Jordan) and most recently, Chargers fans and me. Rivalries tend to bring out the best out of opposing teams and also tend to give their respective leagues a certain amount of prestige. Pats vs Colts is no exception. The chess match should be an interesting one as Belichick and Caldwell go head to head. All things being equal, I'd pick the Colts to win this game at home. However, in the match up of Belichick versus Caldwell, I have to take the genius over the up and comer in this one. Pick: Patriots win 27-24.

Chamillionaire talks about Michael Jordan

Baltimore (4-4) @ Cleveland (1-7) Shawn Kemp (former basketball star) got so many women knocked up that he probably knew how to work the home pregnancy kit. Well in a nutshell, that’s the 2009 Cleveland Browns. They have kept on screwing up so badly against teams that they have mastered the art of losing by double digits points. Check it out:

Week 1 vs Minnesota: 34-20 loss

Week 2 @ Denver: 27-6 loss

Week 3 @ Baltimore: 34-3 loss

Week 6 @ Pittsburgh: 27-14 loss

Week 7 vs Green Bay: 31-3 loss

Week 8 @ Chicago: 31-6 loss

Needless to say, the Browns got it bad. Pick: Ravens win 24-10.

Bye: NY Giants, Houston

Last week: 7-6

Overall: 73-46

I had to check out a fellow LeBron-fan's hubs and I'm glad I did. Sharp hubs, very well written! And I appreciate you predicting the Browns will score 10 points on Sunday. The way this season has gone, I don't expect the Brownies to score a touchdown anymore. You've given me hope. (It still hurts to watch though.)

I feel what you're saying, times are tough right now for Browns fans. As a fan of the NFL, I hope they get their stuff together (which means get rid of Mangini, guys don't seem to play for him) within a year and start competing. They are the joke of the AFC North right.

By the way, did you check out my Kobe vs LeBron break down?

Lol at my quote! Only chance I see Jags winning in the cold is MJD going nuts and the Defense actually showing up.

What I don't like about your Colts is the run D and run game. So I am going Pats too!

I know, I don't feel confident about our run defense or our ability to run the ball. Couple that with Belichick being on the opposing sidelines, and I'm worried.

I much rather the Patsy lose to be honest. I really despise those guys. I was so happy when we stuck it to them in SB XLII. It was the equivalent of giving the big bully a wedgie AND a swirlie in the same brawl. Thanks again Shyne. I hope the Colts pull it off somehow.

What annoys me is they are all the Colts are missing BS OMG! Didn't he play only one game or something. He is always hurt. He needs a year of healing geeze.

You did lose a corner tho.

Which receiver will have the biggest day of that game?

Welker,Moss,Wayne?

Sanders played one game and then got put on injured reserve. Out for the year. He's softer then Librerace at Playboy Mansion party (70's show joke). Moss should have good game because he will be guarded by a small and quick corner. Brady and Cassel (last year) just throw it over the top to him. Welker should be good but not great because we'll be guarding the underneath stuff (WR screens, flats, etc...). I haven't seen enough of the Pats secondary to know if Wayne will have a big day, but I haven't heard anything about the Pats having a good secondary.

We had some differences this week. I think three games, but you were already up one game because I was too lazy to get my picks together in time for Thursday's game.
