Side effects of blood pressure medication
High blood pressure is a very common problem. Many thousands of people all over the world suffer from it and most of them need to take regular blood pressure treatment.
Without treatment, high blood pressure patients are at more risk of stroke and heart attack - so, taking tablets every day just has to become a regular part of day to day life. Or does it? I'll explain more below.
Almost all blood pressure medications have side effects - and many of these side effects cause difficulty on a day by day basis.
ACE inhibitor medication like lisinopril, enalapril, captopril, fosinipril and others (they all end in "..pril") tend to cause side effects like cough, muscle pains, dizziness and fatigue.
Beta blocker blood pressure medications like atenolol and bisoprolol (all beta blocker names end in "...olol" ) cause vivid dreams or nightmares, cold hands and feet, impaired exercise tolerance and sometimes breathlessness.
Calcium channel blood pressure drugs like amlodipine or felodipine cause side effects like headache, flushing and swollen ankles.
I'm sure by now you get the picture - don't you. Sometimes the blood pressure medication effects can be worse than the condition itself - and this is the reason that many blood pressure patients simply stop taking their treatments.
So ..... the big question .... is there a way to lower blood pressure effectively without medication? No blood pressure medication = no blood pressure medication side effects!
Natural blood pressure treatment
As a doctor with a special interest in blood pressure problems - partly because I suffer from it myself - I was intrigued when Paul Johnson got in touch with me to tell me about the book he had written. It's a simple guide to controlling blood pressure without medication and in all truth I think it's a wonderful resource. I've lost count of the number of patients that I've recommended it to and they all come back to tell me how it has helped them change their lives. No more side effects of blood pressure medications.
Many have used Paul's advice to change their lifestyles and have either dramatically reduced the dose of medication they take or have been able to stop their blood pressure medications all together.
If you have high blood pressure and you are experiencing side effects from your blood pressure medications (and I guess that means most of you) then click here to take a look at Paul's book - you won't regret it.
