Do you have bad credit? If so you are unfortunately not alone. Millions of people that had stellar credit just a few years ago have seen it decimated by the housing and financial crisis of the last few years. As weird as this seems it is actually good for you, not that you have bad credit but that everyone else does. How could this be? Well banks look at the population like an insurance company does. If everyone has bad credit then the bar has been lowered and now you need really bad credit to be called sub prime. Getting a signature loan for people with bad credit is honestly a lot easier than it used to be.

Credit scores are certainly lower than they were a few years ago. A lot of rich people got smacked down and everyone else got smacked even harder.

So what do you do if you are looking for signature loans for people with bad credit? Well whenever you are looking for a loan you should first do a few things. One is to look at your credit history. Get your history from a good vendor that provides all three credit bureau reports and look over it to make sure that there are no mistakes. The next step is to look at how you plan on paying off the loan. If you have no job and have no assets then how on earth are you going to pay it off once you get the loan?

If you aren't employed, the first thing you need to do is get a job. Trying to find a signature with bad credit and no job isn't exactly realistic. It won't happen so get a job!

If you can not answer basic questions like that then the bank will be hesitant to loan money to you at any interest rate. Surprisingly enough a lot of people go and apply for loans when they have absolutely no way to ever pay it back. All that will do is further lower your credit score and dig you a deeper hole from which to come out of. Do not do this and instead look for a part time job, go sell some belongings, etc in order to have a way to pay back any loan that you get.

So now that you have looked at your credit history and have a plan to pay back the loan, how do you get signature loans for bad credit? Start with your bank and see what they can do for you. If your credit is not too bad they will likely give you the best rate. If however your credit is worse then they accept go to an alternative lender. When using alternative lenders it is important to realize that they invariably charge a higher rate of interest and have steeper fees than a local bank. This isn’t always the case but it almost always is. Make sure that you do what you can before using one.

The first thing that you should do is go into the bank where you have your regular accounts. If you have been responsible with your checking accounts the bank will be a lot more likely to give you bad credit signature loans.

Signature Loan Requirements

Before you try to get a loan of this type, I would take a look at my signature loan requirements article. It can help you to know whether you are a good candidate for a signature loan. For the most part I don't want to see people taking out a bad credit signature loan because the fees are extensive. I would prefer that people fixed their credit so that they have normal loan options.

One of my biggest pet peeves is that people will spend hundreds of hours searching Google for stuff like 'signature loans bad credit' while spending zero time trying to fix their credit. This makes things more expensive and puts you in a worse financial position.

Solid Banks

If you're going to get a loan, I would highly recommend getting one from a solid loan. Wells Fargo signature loans are pretty dang solid, as are loans from other world class banks: Bank of America, Bank One, or JP Morgan Chase.

I wouldn't get a loan from a junky bank. We have all seen in the last year that banks aren't always as stable as we would like them to be.

Interested In Other Types Of Loans?

Are you absolutely certain that signature loans are the best loan for your current situation? If not, you should definitely take a look at some other types of loans: bad credit personal loans, home loans for bad credit, bad credit mortgages, and loans with no collateral. Let me know if you have any questions about these loans!

Getting a $5000 Loan With Bad Credit

For many people, getting a $5000 loan would solve almost all of their problems. They could pay off their bills and get their creditors off their backs. They could also solve a lot of other issues. The biggest problem lies in having bad credit, because it makes that loan hard to get. If you need a $5000 loan with bad credit, read my article on that. I really think that it will help you out.
