Choosing Your Wedding Bouquet

One of the first most important decisions is the shape. Which shape do you want your bouquet to resemble?

The cascading shape resembles a tear drop. The cascading bouquet was very popular in the 90's and a lot of brides still love it. It takes a certain skill level to design the cascading shape. Brides had more money in the 90's to spend than they do now days. That's why you see a lot of simple round bouquets. So the cascade is actually the sign of a more affluent wedding. It is pointed towards the bottom with a broad top. The round shape is self explanatory. Different shapes compliment different body types. A round bouquet often compliments a taller figure. Cascading compliments shorter and wider figures.

Just about any flower can be used to design round bouquets. Cascading designs offer more flower options. Certain flowers like Calla Lilies grow in unique shapes. These flowers look best in a cascading design.

Silk flowers can be used in more designs than fresh flowers. The reason being they hold up better. Some designs put a strain on the flowers and will cause them to dry out faster. You also have to order fresh flower designs a day before the wedding. You can plan far in advance when using silk wedding bouquets and they don't make some people sneeze. They also don't attract as many bees at outside weddings.
