Crabmeat & Asparagus Hors d'oeurves

Want to serve up a delicious and elegant hors d'oeurve at your next dinner party? Try this crowd-pleasing appetizer recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded crab meat (imitation or fresh)
  • 1/2 cup asparagus - steamed & cooled
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. ketchup
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Paprika
  • Appetizer Crackers (Tip: Light water crackers are a good choice.)

Directions:

  1. Cut cooked asparagus in small diagonal slices.
  2. Combine crabmeat, mayonnaise, ketchup, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  3. Place a small "lump" of crabmeat mixture on top of each cracker. Add an asparagus slice to the top and sprinkle with a dash of paprika.

This appetizer is great for cocktail or dinner parties with a larger number of guests. Happy entertaining!
