How to Lose Love Handles with Simple Exercises

People having "belly fat" or what we usually call love handles usually get online looking for useful information on how to lose their love handles. We find several information or exercises promising to lose love handles but most of the time the information are just plain useless and crap.

As someone who also had same experience and problem before, and that's thinking how to get rid of my love handles, I can share with you all the exercises I performed to lose my love handles. Of course I'm not going to say that it will do the same thing for you but it's worth of a try. What worked for me may work for you as well or may not. At least, these exercises I performed to get rid of love handles effectively worked for me. Check it out,

Doing the Crunch

First, start a position. Lie back onto the floor or bend with knees bent and hands behind the head. Keep elbows back and out of sight. Head should be in natural position with a space between chest and chin. Then leading with the chin and chest towards the ceiling, contract the abdominal and raise the shouders off floor or bench. Return to start position and remember to keep head and back in a neutral position. Hyperextenson or flexion of either may cause injury.

The Oblique Crunch

Do it by starting to place your left foot over your right knee and place your hands behind your head. Then lift your shoulders up off the ground and twist so that your right elbows tries to touch your left knee. Return to the starting position and repeat according to the required repititions. Lastly, repeat with the other side.

Performing The V - Up

Position by lying back onto the floor or bench with knees bent and hands extended towards ceiling. The head should be in a neutral position with a space between the chin and the chest. Then lead with the chin and chest towards the ceiling, contract the abdominal and raise shoulders off floor or bench. Also raise the your legs up towards ceiling and attempt to touch your hands to your feet. Then return to start position.

Very nice.

Though I'm curious if you can target any part of the body to lose weight. I was told that losing weight is a generic thing (I.E in order to lose weight around your hips you'd have to lose weight around the rest of the body too) Am I wrong?

thooghun, you are correct. You can't lose weight in a specific area of your body. In order to lose the totality of your "love handles", you need to reduce the excess fat your body has stored. This being said, by increasing your ammount of muscles by performing the exercises mentioned above, it causes your body to consume an increased ammount of calories a day, thus leading to an elevated caloric burn rate.

It will also help sculp the specific muscles so that when you do shed the extra fat, you'll start seeing muscle lines, or "being cut/ripped".

I dont think wieght matters. Loosing inches is the key...Muscle ways more than fat!!! So if a woman ways 130 pounds she could still be really skinny, she just might have alot of muscle.Dont look at the scale!!! Focus on looking slimmer not lossing numbers....

I've tried everything, weight loss pills, hours of cardio, interval training, dieting, crazy ab routines, you name it and i've probably done it. I take and teach both dance and gymnastics five days a week and that used to be enough to keep me slim but now i need more and nothing is doing the trick. My body is too used to my weekly routine. The only time my love handles are looking smaller is when i get my period and every other inch of me bloats. Please help!!!
