An Eyecatching Palette of Color

I always love this time of year. All the color that fall brings. It inspired me to create this centerpeice.

The supplies you will need are:

  • Med Bale of Straw- can be found in most craft and some drug stores
  • Various fall flowers- I chose shades of yellow, orange, and brown
  • Cattails, pumpkin, and wheat picks
  • Wide Strip of Fall Material
  • Floral picks and Tape

First word of advice is to leave the plastic on the bale so it doesn't shed all over the place.

I always start my arrangement at the center and work my way outward. So take the tallest of your 3 focal flowers, wrap the wire from the floral pick to the stems and cover with the tape to make it looked finished. Stair step with the highest one down to the lowest one. Follow your eye, usually go left to right. Once you have these in place, step back and take a look to make sure that it is at a pleasing angle. Now start filling in with your other flowers. Keep a good balance, always step back and check your work. Add any embellishments, such as , scarecrows, acorns, squash what have you. For a final touch wrap your ribbon or strip of fabric around the center and add either a bow or another embellishment and you have a wonderful addition to your fall decor.
