Let's face it we all like people who amaze us at parties and have you noticed how popular these people are. This is because people love Simple Magic Tricks.

The Vanishing Coin

This really is a Simple Magic Trick but with practice can look really impressive

The End Effect : The magician sticks the coin into the handkerchief, turns it over and then the coin disappears from inside the handkerchief.

The Secret :You secretly wrap a rubber band around your fingers and thumb.

Then you place the handkerchief in that hand. With your other hand place the coin into the handkerchief.

Then let the rubber band slide off of your fingers and onto the handkerchief, so it surrounds the coin and it is under the handkerchief.

You then slide your hand up to the end of the handkerchief and shake it.

This makes it look like the coin has disappeared.

But it is really stuck in the handkerchief, held by the rubber band.

Again a Really Simple Magic Trick, but with practice can look really impressive.

The End Effect

Pour some water into a cup, blow on the cup and then turn it upside down where out pops some ice cubes.

You need a cup or glass that you can't see through. You also need a small sponge and and some ice cubes.

The Method

Prepare the cup by placing the sponge into the bottom of the cup. Then, drop a few ice cubes on top of the sponge and you're ready to go.

To perform pour a small amount of water (about an inch) into the cup. The sponge will absorb the water. Blow into the cup, wave your hands over it and dump out the ice cubes.

If you are using a disposible plastic cup for the trick, just throw it away at this time.

Watch the look of surprise on your friends faces.

The Effect

You take out a box of matches and go to light your cigarette or candle but when you open them they are all used.

You then say I hate that when people put used matches back in the box, oh sorry it was me I hate it when I do that. You then proceed to take out the used match and strike it and it lights. You can have them already stashed in the dirty ashtray and take one out and then light your cigarette or candle.

The Secret

All you have to do to make it look like it is a used match is dip the match in black ink, and then wait for it to dry. Then dip it in ash and it will look like a used match but when you strike it the match will light like any normal match

This is one of the most Simple Magic Tricks you can do but it will truely amaze people and they will be begging you to tell them how you do it.

For this Trick you need a friend who can help you and works best in a large group of people.

Pick someone to do the trick on first.

Place 3 coins on a table

While you look away ask the person to touch one of the coins.

The friend who is helping you out gives your a signal to tell you which coin the person has touched by touching his left ear for the coin on the left, his nose for the middle and right ear for the coin on the right.

This trick will really baffle people.

This is an old favorite of mine that my Grandad taught me.

This trick is all about a bit of luck and slick talking it either goes very well but sometimes might not sound convincing.

You pick a card from a deck of cards lets say 2 of hearts.

You hide this card somewhere in the room where you are.

You then ask the person you are doing the trick on to tell you all the suits in a deck of cards.

They of course say Hearts,spades, clubs and diamonds

You ask them to pick 2 of those out and tell you

They say Hearts and clubs for example

If they do thats great you can then go on to the next step, if they dont you then say what does that leave you with. The plan is to get them to the suit you want. Hopefully they will make the right choices but if they dont you get them back on track by saying what does that leave you with.

So now onto the next step, because the card we want them to pick is the 2 of hearts the next question is:

Right can you tell me all of the even numbers in a deck of cards

they will answer 2,4,6,8,10

You then ask them to pick 2 of those

let say they say 2 and 6 well again that great, if not again you say what does that leave you with etc.

your now down to 2 numbers 2 and 6 you then ask them to pick one of those. If they say 2 you then go and fetch the 2 of hearts from where you hid it and they are amazed.

So this trick is all about you picking a common suit and number and then asking the questions above. you will be surprised how many people pick hearts and an even number like 2 or 6.

Again if they dont go the way you want them to you simply say what does that leave you with.
