Increase Fuel Mileage

Here is the simply things I do for improved mileage.

1)Buy gas at the coolest time of day or late in the evening.Gas expands and contracts with temperature.

2)Check Tire pressure. The less pressure the more rolling resistance you have.Your engine works harder to maintain speed.Label for proper tire inflation is located in glove compartment, fuel filler door or inside of drivers door on factory label.(PSI on sidewall of tire are max pressures for that tire)

3)Check the Air Filter and Fuel Filter.Dirty or clogged Filters have a major affect on Gas mileage.Fuel filters should be changed ever 30,000 miles,Air filters @ 5th or 6th oil change.

4)Maintaning a steady speed and using the Cruise Control when possible and avoiding heavy traveled Routes.

5)Excess weight is a Gas mileage killer! The heavier the vehicle the more Power it will use. A couple hundred extra pounds will steal 1 to 2% of Gas mileage from your vehicle.

I hope these few little tips help,as you know Fuel prices are on the way up.
