Simple Ways To Shorten Your Workouts and Crank Up Fat Loss

If you're like most people, you don't have a lot of time to perform your fat loss workouts in the gym.  You're lucky to get three 45-minute sessions in - and that's if everything goes as scheduled. 

So does this mean you need to give up on your fat loss goals? Or is it possible to create fat loss workouts that will still get great results despite not taking much time at all?

It certainly is - if you follow the right principles. 

Below are three ways you can shorten your fat loss workout program without sacrificing results. 

Add Supersets 

The first way to really cut down on the total time you have to spend doing your workout is to add in supersets.  Supersets are essentially where you are going to do one exercise immediately followed by another. 

So you would do bicep curls for example and then immediately move into a tricep extension or kickback.  The benefit to this is that while one muscle group is working, the other is resting. 

You can easily knock off almost half of your workout time by utilizing supersets. 

Do Cardio Intervals 

The second thing you can do to help cut back on the total time committment is add in some cardio intervals between exercises. You don't want to do cardio after each set, but if you'd like, do 5 minutes after the first quater, half, and then last quater as well. 

This will reduce the amount of additional cardio you have to do later on. 

Utilize Compound Lifts 

Finally, the third way to boost your calorie burn during your fat loss workouts and shorten the total time is to use compound lifts.  These are great because they will work a high number of muscle fibers at once, meaning you will have to do less isolated exercises. 

Examples of compound lifts include squats, deadlifts, bench press, rows, and shoulder press.  They will give you the best results for your time invested. 

So be sure you give these three principles a try. Getting into the gym and doing something is going to go a long way in revealing the results you're looking for.
