Money saving tips are usually all about price shopping and how to get a good deal. It makes sense to look for ways to get the same thing for less money. Money saving tips are very valuable and many are devising new means of ensuring they achieve their desired effect with a minimum cost. It cannot be stressed how valuable good money saving tips are, especially as pennies add up to dollars over time. It used to be that a penny saved was a penny earned, but in this day and age saving a penny is worth quite a bit more than earning a penny.  Below are a few for your consideration

Spending less money at a restaurant doesn’t necessarily mean eating less food. An example of this is, that in some restaurants the portion sizes are big enough that you can split a meal with a family member or friend.

We have become so accustomed to using our credit card for everything, from fast food to movie tickets. The charges add up quickly.  Use cash instead.

Cooking for yourself is a really good one.   You can even cook with friends instead of going out to dinner, each cook a course and bring it with you.  This keeps your social life going and could save thousands each year. Even baking muffins is cheaper than buying one daily, or in a supermarket pack.

Look at the eating habits of your family and base your portion sizes from there.  We eat too much as it is, but changing things in your families diet like less processed sauces etc will be good in the long run for your families health and your pocked, also try using seasonal vegetables is a great one, the are ALWAYS cheaper when they are in season.

Look at your home PC needs in relation to printer cartridges, paper etc; and consider a package deal from your local office suppliers, warehouse etc;

Try to pay some of your bills in advance while you can. Set up direct debit or standing order or you can pay a small amount each fortnight off your regular bills (electricity, water etc;) so by the time the bills come in, you've already paid them off. Start the process by prioritizing your debts.

Always pay the debts that can cause forclosure or repocession.  Your mortgage and car payments are the biggest examples of this.

Renting Stuff:  Rent movies - don’t go to the movies, these days, dvd’s come out withing months, that it’s not worth going to the theatre at $10 per adult and $8 per child, this can go hand in hand with the cooking at home tip above, gives you social life and pocket a life! Renting a wedding dress is a great option.

Ask yourself if you really really need that new piece dress, shirt or pair of shoes. Don't buy on impulse.

Get recommendation on products, ssk your friends and family, and then see if you can get the item second hand on ebay.  This will save you a fortune off the new price.

Rather than buying expensive reference books, get them from the library.

These are just few example
