Simple techniques for better photo reflection in water
58
There are times that you need to give your photos some extra punch. Photo with reflection in water will help bring a new dimension to your photos and to do this is just simple and easy.
Here’s a technique I found pretty useful and easy to do. No image editing is required, just simply tweaking your photography techniques will help bring this awesome effect to your photo reflection in water.
If you want to have a milky reflection of an object in the water, all you need to do is to use long shutter speed. Sets your shutter speed to the longest will help bring this effect.
Here’s how you do it. Set your camera to shutter speed priority and set your shutter speed to as long as possible, preferably to be more then 1s. Check the photo on your camera. If you feel that the reflection effect is not milky enough, extend the shutter speed longer.
However if you want a clear mirror reflection of the object in the water, the shutter speed got to be as short as possible. This is because with long exposure technique, the water movement will blur off the reflection, hence you will get a blur, milky effect.
Hope this simple technique will help you bring new meaning to your photography life.
