PELVIC STRENGTH IS AN INDICATION OF HIP STRENGTH AND BLADDER CONTROL. Age and the amount of times a woman has
given birth are important. The chance of a pelvic floor disorder increases with age, as well as the amount of times a women gives birth.
The more times you've given birth, the greater the chance your pelvic floor muscles will weaken. However these muscles shouldn't be
ignored by young women, as even some young women athletes suffer from this ailment.

UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF YOUR PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLES. The Pelvic Floor muscles are one of the most unappreciated muscles in a
women's body. It is very important though. Here are the benefits of strong pelvic muscles:
- Organ support (you won't feel like your organs are bouncing when you run)
- A healthy back
- Strong abdominal (mainly lower abs)
- Increased sexuality and feeling in that region
- Continence (the actually wetting of your pants..)
- Lesser negative effects of child birth on a woman's body

KEGEL. Strengthening your Pelvic Floor muscles can be done through a simple exercise called Kegels. More about this exercise, as well as how to do it,
will be located in the resources below.

PROBLEMS OF MISDIAGNOSIS. Problems with weak hips from weak pelvic floor muscles is a commonly misdiagnosed problem. This means a
doctor prescribes a wrong solution. Doctors recommend drugs and even surgery to correct simple problems. In actuality: Wellness is better than
treatment.
In many cases, practicing kegels on a daily basis can greatly improve pelvic strength, and decrease symptoms (continence, etc). Rarely is
medication or surgery ever needed.
