This was a cool trick I learned from Harry Lorayne's card magic book, which has long been out of print. But, I'm sure it shows up in other card trick books.

The idea is that you show the audience a card that you pull off the top of the deck. Then, you riffle down the corner of the deck, and have somebody tell you when to stop. You then slide the top card off the deck and into the spot in the deck where you just stopped riffling. You slap the deck and lift off the top card to show the original card again.

It appears that the card has flown back up to the top of the deck.

This trick requires a little practice and you should try to use a deck that is worn in, but not with bent cards or broken corners.

Check it out.
