68The Sims : 3 is even better?
We love the sims!
My daughter got hooked up to the Sims through a friend. before we got to the stage of discovering sims cheat codes, we had a long way to go! I didn't even know the game, and we made some really daft mistakes in the beginning: Her first game was the H&M extension pack, and only then we discovered we first had to buy the basic game!
The second mistakes was buying "Pets" for the Sims, not realising that we had The Sims 2, and that this version of Pets was for the first game...
Anyway, we do learn :-)
The first cheat code we learned about, was the very useful sims money cheat. However, it took us quite some time to find out how to use cheat codes in the Sims. So, we made a little guide for dummies just like us :-D
So, here we are, with a small but very usable guide with sims cheat codes and game tips, for the Sims 3 already!
Of course we do have a guide with sims 2 cheat codes, feel free to share this content with your friends and Sims-buddies!

It's a game you play on your own computer, not on the internet. My daughter just makes loads of characters, I think she hardly plays the game, but that's fine. She loves to dress them up etc.
I don't like my daughter to play online games with other people (yet), so i'm happy with the Sims. She has a version for her Nintendo DS too. She just loves it.
There are 3 versions for the computer now. Sims 1, Sims 2 and Sims3. Be aware, because you need the basic game, and then you can buy extra packages. We borrowed a lot of the games from friends, as they all are installed on yourhard drive, and you only need the last package to play all of them, for Sims 2 that is Appartments. The Sims 3 don't have any extension packs yet.
"Extension pack" is not "accessories", you cannot play the game with an accessories CD-Rom!
Anyay, for us it' a great game, and my daughter plays it every day (yes we compete at the moment about computer time LOL)
Charkamman, thanks for the added information. If I get her Sims3, will that include everything she needs to play the game?
Yep. Just make sure your computer is fast enough to play the Sims 3. There is an online check for it: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srte It will check if your computer has the right configuration. Sims 3 does not have extensions packs, they will probably put them in the market later, but you can play the game perfectly with the basic game.
I hope she will love it just as much as my daughter!

My daughter has mentioned Sims, but I don't know much about it. Is it a game that people play online and interact with other people, or is it a game you play alone on your own computer, interacting only with imaginary characters?
