Disposable cameras or single use cameras are simply cameras sold with a roll of film already installed, and is meant to be used only once.  Most use focus-free lenses although some are equipped with a built-in flash unit.  The whole camera is handed over for processing.  Some are recycled and others are disposed as the name implies.

What are the benefits of single-use cameras?  First and foremost, most have all the features of a regular camera and are easy to use.  They are cheaper so you may want to consider buying one if you are on a holiday.  You have nothing to worry about in case it is stolen or you accidentally left it behind.

How to choose a perfect disposable camera?  Start by evaluating where are you going to use it?  Dim lighting or bright sunlight?  Which do you prefer, colored or black and white?  Are you taking pictures underwater?  If you have decided which setting will the majority of your pictures be taken, the next thing you do is to look at the 3-digit number in the camera which denotes film speed.  The more light there will be, the faster the film speed should be.  A film speed of 800 is perfect for a bright, sunny outing.  A film speed of 600 with a flash is great with indoor picture-taking and 400 with a flash for dim lighting situations.  If you are thinking about taking pictures during your holiday on the beach, buy a waterproof disposable camera.  They can even be used underwater.

Single use cameras even come with a digital variation.  Of course these are cheaper than their counterpart.  You can view taken pictures in the LCD screen.  You can even delete a picture that you don’t like.  But you can do this only with the last photo taken.  So be sure to review each photo before taking another one to be sure you like all the angles you took.  Disposable digital camera provides independence from cables, extra devices, bulky carrying cases and downloading.  Everything is done in the processing unit.  One disadvantage is that you cannot edit your photographs because you have to hand it over for processing.  Another is the quality of pictures.  You can never match the quality of a regular digital camera.

Single use cameras are fun to use because you can even personalize it.  From what occasion are you using it?  Weddings, birthdays or anniversaries, whatever occasion you have, you can choose a wide array of designs.  Add fun activities for your wedding guests by letting them take photos of your memorable event.  You can even give it as favors to add a special touch in that occasion.  You may opt to design it yourself, why not?  There are many things you can do with disposable cameras.  That is why they are worth having.  Hey, it’s not just a simple box anyway.
