Already prepared Tables are available to help fixation. You may get an idea from these Tables where will be your pay fixed in the revise scale. If you know your existing basic pay on 1-1-2006, corresponding column will show your revised pay. A link "tables here". is given at the top of this page to the Tables. Some sites have "Pay Calculator" but you can not rely on these. Tables provided in the Gazette notification are most authentic.

allowances on education expenses of physically disabled and mentally retarded children of the staff of CG employees have to be made clearer. Is it the age or the class, which is the cut off. In schools where mentally children are schooled, they are not separated class/standard wise; but by iq/caliber/efficiency wise. In such cases the children need not fall under the same age group. But in the application for tutuion fee (unitil 6 th pcr) it is asked which class/std! Please clarify my doubt with respect to the new revised pay commn orders. And also it is seen in ther new pay comn reports that Rs.2000/- p.m is sanctioned as educational allowance. Is it the maximum limit or flat rate. Suppose a child is charged Rs.700/- p.m at school, will the parent be entitled to claim Rs. 8400/- or Rs.24000/-. Please clarify.

What is the meaning of non-compounded advanced increments.

Whether DA is applicable on non-compounded advanced increments or not?

Please reply as soon as possible.

premsingh  says:

Thanks Jyoti,

Sunil, non-compounded means direct calculation without accumulation. Eg. 3 non-compounded increments of 3% each on Rs 1000 = 1000*.09=90, Hence total amount =1090; Compounded means 1000*.03=30. Hence 1000+30 = 1030; 2nd increment shall be calculated as 1030*.03= 30.9; Hence 1030+30.9=1060.9; In the same manner 3 increments of 9% will yield a total sum of 1092.7 whereas on non-compounding basis it will yield only Rs 1090.

If I am wrong, anyone may correct me.Thanks

Dr. Sunil  says:

Thanks for giving me the meaning of non-compounded increments.

Second reply is still awaiting.

See:

07 Non-compounded advance increments shall be admissible at the entry level of recruitment as Assistant Professor to persons possessing the degree of Ph.D.

My question is, whether DA is applicable on these Non-compounded advance increments? Or that one is treated as a separate special pay.

This clarification is urgentely required by faculity of NIT Hamirpur (HP)

In my understanding non-compounded advance increments to any incumbent is taken into consideration for calculating the DA. This is personal to the incumbent.

Surve B. L.   says:

I think , non compounded increment means the increment calculated on first basic of the scale e.g. 15600-39100 scale with AGP 6000 has first increment of Rs 650/- multply it by three means three non compounded increments . Remember that only first increment is non compunded other are compouned hence other inc are greater than 650/-

increments are the part of basic pay thus advance increments are included in basic pay to claim D.A. & HRA

please contact me: survebala@yahoo.co.in

Ravindra Nistane  says:

I think, a Non-compounded Increment means an increment that does not carry any DA/HRA, meaning thereby there shall not be any rise in the basic pay due to this. The dictionary meaning of the word 'compound' in the phrase referred to is

1- "to combine so as to form a whole; mix"

2- "to produce or create by combing two or more ingredients or parts"

Thus, a non-compounded increment should mean an increment that has not to be clubbed with the basic pay.

This is my humble opinion and a reasonable correction is

welcome.
