Priyamani acted in rape scene for a Tamil film(Paruthiveeran) and that turned out to be the topic of Kollywood. When asked about this, Priyamani said that many have shown compassion on the character she played, after becoming the victim of rape. She said that even she had even shed tears after performing in that scene with complete involvement.

"But after watching that scene, I understood that was made with aesthetic sense. And there not even an iota of vulgarity in that", she added.

Talking about her career aspects, she said that she likes to do varied roles and the performance oriented ones like that of Sridevi in the film 'Vasanta Kokila'. She also says that she likes to do in comedy and action flicks without any language barriers.
