Skate Board Compiliation Video I

Skateboarding: Skate Video I

Skateboarding has come so far from it's origin back in the day. From steep steps, to insane gaps; skaters have taken the sport to a much higher level than ever expected. I gurantee if you would have asked skaterboards from back in the day where they saw skating going, no one would have ever thought this far. From starting off at carving the pavement to pulling combo's like the guy around the 2:40 minute mark in this video.

Skaters: Their Long Rails, Steep Stairs & Wide Gaps

These guys take rails, steps and gaps to the extreme. The first time I hit a flight of stairs I broke my ankle. I could challenge handrails with no problem. Whether it was rail slides or varied grinds I had it pretty much locked BUT. Notice the big BUT I had this thing about steps. Don't know why? Maybe I fell down some as a kid who knows but I just couldn't get past it. So one day we found this spot that was fairly weak to be honest but nice short rails. We sessioned for a bit and after a while I just said to hell with it I'm gonna do it. Well things didn't go as planned and that was that. Fractured my ankle was down for several weeks. I think that fall has something to do with why I cringe when I see other skaters bail.

There some serious drops and incredible rails. Foot control has always been something I am amazed by. Sounds dumb but watch a skateboarder barely pull some sick variable down a flight of stairs to only pull out because he places the skate board where they want it. Mid Air? That's impressive to me. Women like ballet. I think 360 kickflips over a gap and landing switch is graceful. But that's just me.

My Favorite Skaters

Back to foot control. If there's any two skaters that have incredible foot control it's Rodney Mullen and Chris Haslam. These guys pull off the sickest flips and twists.

Rodney Mullen has been one of my favorite skaters for a long time. I'm a huge fan of street and the only ramps I really like are minis.Rodney Mullen has always been super impressive with the different variations he can put into a trick. Especially on street. One of my favorite parts of the video starts around the 6:00 minute mark. He hits a couple of picnic tables together and it's just amazing how fast he can react and still maintain balance.

Chris Haslam. What can you say? This guy kills it. Super sick foot control and just abuses mini ramp lips. Any body that can do variable flips to nose blunts to 360 outs is just discumbobulated in their head. That's the only way it make sense. This guy skates like people breath. Just second nature and its amazing but he skateboards better. Plus his ability to put combinations together is out of my head. Love watching him on street or mini ramp. Either way he's most def my favorite.

Nyjah Houston. WOW. Talk about a top notch skater and he's only 15. I was skating at 15 and that was about the time I broke my ankle on those stairs but NO  WAY and I mean nooo way was I any where in this kids stratosphere. He skateboards like he was born on it and to be honest it kind of makes me mad. (Read Jealous!) I only wish I could ride a skateboard a fraction of his ability. Watch him attack stairs and rails on his skate. Seems so laid back and humble too. Has to be one of the chillest guys.

5 Top Skate Videos

These are 5 of my favorite skate videos. A couple are fairly old but still top notch to say the least. Obviously I am a bigger fan of street skaters and mini ramps. This doesn't mean I don't like big ramps and no I'm definitely not taking away from you guys that ride big ramps. It's just not my thing. Anyways I hope you liked the videos. Let me know what your style is and I'll be on the look out for the skateboard videos you'd want to check out. Leave me a comment and tell me who your favorite skater is and share some links.
