My mother has always told me about some food home remedies she uses. You can grab stuff out of you kitchen to use for different skin care needs. It is fun to learn what you have to use that is in your refrigerator or on the shelves. Some kitchen products help you cleanse, some help you moisturize your skin. Other kitchen products help with problems your skin is having.
Swab your sunburn with some cider vinegar to kill the pain. You can also pour some in your tub to soak in. It definitely takes the fire out. Another good idea that works for sunburn is tea. It is said that the tannic acid makes the sunburn go away and just leaves a tan. It is fairly uncomplicated to handle a bee sting. Tobacco that is damp and applied to the sting will help take the pain away. This really does work. Tea bags are another good thing for bee stings. Take the teabags after they are brewed and cool and place on the sting. It is the tannic acid in the tea that even helps with the swelling. Does your skin feel dry and itchy? Try a milk bath to add some moisture. Powdered milk is what you use to mix this remedy. Alone or with herbs that you like to use for there effects. You can exfoliate by adding some almond meal to the powdered milk. Almond meal's aroma would be so nice. Take the avocado next you can do so much with it. It makes a great face cleanser you just have to mush it up and add some milk and a well-beaten egg. The oil in the peel is great just massage it into the face in upward movements. You do this by using the peel to massage your face. Allow the oil to stay in place for about 15 minutes then wash and rinse the face. Other uses for an avocado are eye treatments, masques, and it is good for your hands. Many recipes for avocado skin care treatments are online. One thing that can be used as a masque is egg whites. To prepare the egg whites just whip them a bit. Makes them slide on much smoother. Cleanse your face then dry it off. Rub on the egg whites and let them stay until they are dry. You will need to gently wash off the egg whites and dry your face lightly. If you want to, put on some moisturizer. Baking soda is great for relieving dry skin when put in your bath water and you soak in it. To get rid of dead flaky skin cells use a baking soda paste. If your feet are weary from a hard day, fix a footbath with some baking soda in it. After soaking your feet in it they will be refreshed. Just give yourself 15 to 20 minutes to do this. Sensitive skin will not react badly to baking soda. If you afflicted with dry facial skin grab the jar of mayo. Use your fingertips and rub in some mayo on your face in a upward direction. It needs to set for 10 minutes then use tepid water to wash your face and rinse and dry gently. If you perform this on a weekly basis your skin will be silky soft. These are just a few of the kitchen item remedies that are out there. Your grandmother would be a good one to question about what else is available. You will probably be surprised to know what she knows. Prices are going up all the time and cosmetics are not cheap.
