It is very necessary to take care of your skin. Just as winter weather makes us pay special attention to our skin, summer with its sun and heat has its requirements too. By limiting your exposure to the sun and maximizing use of these skin-saving ideas, you can enjoy youthful-looking skin for years to come. Summer could be a dangerous time for our face skin. Heat, wind, dust, and excessive sun exposure, can easily damage its delicate cells and pores.
- Smooth on a moisturizer that contains sunscreen in proper concentration. Put it on before you leave the house and reapply every two hours.
- Your skin needs more water than anything else and moisturisers are more needed in summer when you lose most of your body salts by sweating. Buy a water-based moisturizer and use it without fail. Make it a habit to wash your face gently with water a number of times in a day.
- In hot days, when your face is sweating, do not rush to wash it with water. First wipe it with a cotton ball soaked in sour milk or sour cream. After 10-15 minutes, rinse with sage infusion or green tea. Then apply your favorite moisturizer.
- Fruit masks are another easy summer treat. If you do not have allergies, they can be used everyday. Active ingredients in fruits will freshen and clean your skin. For the best result use fresh fruits and berries and make just enough juice or mixture for one application.
- At the end of the day, gently wash your skin with the mildest soap.
- Morning and evening sun is best for face tanning.
- Cleansing products should be all natural and chemical free. Never use deodorant soaps on your face. These contain harsh ingredients that may irritate your skin and clog your pores.
- A good scrub will remove dead cells and smooth the skin's surface. When selecting a summertime scrub, look for products with Jojoba beads as these provide immediate results and won't tear into or dig at the pores.
- Get plenty of quality rest each night. Keep your bedroom cool, dark and comfortable and sleep on cotton or linen sheets. Get to bed early and awaken early for clear healthy skin and sparkling eyes.
