Sleep Tight
53
Dark sky sparkling with stars so bright,
field softly glowing gently showing
tall grass flowing in the pail moonlight.
And a quiet calm falls all around.
The Earth and its creatures sleeping tightly,
except a mere few echoing the faintest of sound.
And I stair up at the lively sky as far as my frail
Human eye's can see, and I wonder about him
who created all this and me.
I speak to him but not with vocal words
only the voice of my heart.
And long for an understanding of his
marvelous work of art.
The way the Moon like a perfect mirror
has been placed.
To reflect the life giving Sun that earlier
shown on my face.
The Stars hanging in place reflecting the same.
The Seas and the Oceans also receiving
and giving back the reflection of Moon
reflecting sunlight.
And I wonder still,
but for now I will,
like the Earth and its creatures be still.
And sleep tight.

Nice poem. There really is a quite beauty about nighttime.
