Slouch boots are a style of footwear that can be either casual or classy, depending on the shoe and how you accessorize them. They are becoming quite popular, and are available for both women and men. If you are interested in purchasing a pair for yourself, there are hundreds of styles to choose from - try a search online for retailers to browse the range of styles available.

Two types of slouch boots for women that are popular, are the sweater type, and the cow girl type. They tend to look good with anything you wear, including jeans, skirts, dresses, etc. Quite a few women like to wear them with slimming jeans or slacks, tucked into the boot.

As with any new shoe, you can add cushioned soles to these boots if they start bothering your feet, until you get use to them. The western type of slouch boots have a somewhat different heel height, so make sure you try them on before purchasing them, as they may not fit as well as you would like them to. Another hint for buying this type of boot, is to make sure you measure your calf, to make sure the opening in the boot will not rub your leg.

For suede slouch boots in women's styles, a good brand to check out is Mia Women's. They make an affordable boot, called the 'Hayley Suede Slouch Boots'. You can pick these up for under $80. Another pair of womens slouch boots is the Steve Madden Women's Buck Calf Length Buckle boot. These also sell for less than $100, but are good quality leather boots. These ones come with a one inch heel. The calf opening for these boots are 13-3/4" around. These boots are said to be rugged, yet feminine, with leather uppers, and three adjustable buckle strap closures. They have leather lining with cushioned insoles. The have a rubber outsole for traction, and are a slightly more military style.

Slouch boots are also popular among men. One style that is available, is the Dingo Slouch Pigskin. Try searching online for this one, you should be able to find it for around $100.
